I put down the straightening iron and looked up in the mirror. The girl in my reflection was confident, and beautiful. Two things I wasn't usually. I hated makeup, but decided that there's a first for everything. I was only confident because I knew that Carter would be by my side all night. I picked up my Mom's old dress. It was teal, flattering, and had off shoulder sleaves.

Slipping it on, I smiled at my reflection. I looked like my mom. Wavy brown hair that faded into blond near the tips. I used the flatening iron to twist my hair using this technique I picked up while watching my mom work with one of her many clients. She was a famous stylist and owned a small boutique. My dad though, was a lawyer. It goes without saying that we had a lot of money, but chose to live in a small apartment. We were really weird like that, and loved the cramped spaces. It brought us closer together. Made it harder for us when they left.

I put on booty shorts under my dress and grabbed my jacket. Grabbing the keys to my motercycle, I called for Carter.

"Coming!" He yelled and ran down the stairs. He was wearign a tight t-shirt that showed his abs and jeans with a leather jacket, and a beanie.

I rolled my eyes.  "Let's go man whore."

"That's coming form you?  C' mon.  Go change."  He proded

  "No."  I rolled my eyes.

"Fine."  He mumbled, grabbing his keys.  We both knew that he was probably going to get laid tonight, and he would need a ride home in the morning.  Cause I sure as hell wasn't going to come get him in the morning.

When I pulled up in front of the house with the address Sam gave me, the party looked like it was already in full swing.  The music was blasting, there were people in th efront lawn making out with cups in their hands that smelled like beer.  Inside, I could already tell, was much worse.

I walked up to the door and pushed it open, with Carter behind me.  I was immediatly enveloped into the smell of beer, puke, and sweat.  Yum. Note the sarcasm

"Jamie!"  Sarah came up to me smiling drunkenly.  "You made it!"

  "Yup."  I grinned.

"I love your dress!"  She yelled.

  "Thanks."

"I'm gonna go now."  I heard Carter say and looked at him just in time to see him making is way to a girl who was bearing a bikini.

"Is there a pool here?"  I asked Sarah.

"Nope.  But there's a slip and slide.  It's really fun!  C' mon, you can borrow one of my bathing suits."  She was really excited now.  Great.  More sarcasm.

"It's okay, I dont' want to-"

"Why?  You don't think you'd fit nto one of my bathing suits?  It'd be too big?  I knew I shouldn't have eaten that chocolate bar at lunch!  I knew it would-"

"No, no.  I'll borrow your bathing suit.  It'll probably fit me.  It'll be fine."  I cooed.  She reminded me of my old friend when she got drunk.  Self conscious, emotional, and slutty.  But I haven't seen her slutty side yet.

  "Great! Let's go!"  She grinned.

Bounding up the stairs, I had no choice but to follow.  She grabbed a key out of the planter by her door, and jammed it into the door, but kept missing.  I gently took the key form her and opened the door.  She smiled up at me.

  "I did it!"  She yelled.

"You sure did."  I mumbled when she practically sprinted into the room.
