I swam through the water. I felt the sand beneath my feet. I saw fish swimming amongst the coral. I felt the saltwater rush in to my mouth. But this isn't real. It isn't reality. My head came out of the pool first, my dark brown hair pulled behind my head like in the movies. That's it. It has been for many years. 56 years ago the water got too polluted to habit any living thing. The marine life has fallen. Eating delicacy like fish and lobster are rare. We have only managed to still have them as they are now like cows and pigs except brought up in a tank. Beaches that were once beautiful are now toxic waste lands. Everyday simple things like breathing fresh clean air, feeling the sand beneath your feet and smelling the sweet sweet summer breeze is now just a dream.

The world is in a current state of crisis. Yes many wars finished years ago including the dreaded WW3 in 2035. The world was so close to destruction. To our surprise it didn't. The long awaited nuclear war didn't destroy all humanity. That's not all that has happened. The world was so close to destruction that all of human race had to band together to save it. No more racism, sexism or hobophobia. The truth we realized now that the universe does not discriminate only we do, it doesn't matter if your gay or straight, black or white you can still suffer. Poverty would be at an all time low but the earth is almost unliveable if you don't have the right mask which means....it is quite unlikely to be to survive.

They call me a dreamer. Your living in a fancy. Our world can't be fixed they say. Amber It is too far gone. YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING!

I rushed out of the pool as I knew it would be chilling outside. I quickly got dressed in a black long sleeve shirt with a dark forest green dress over the top and some plain white shoes. Tied my hair in a messy bun. Followed by of cause the mask. I picked up a cold black mask made from polypropylene and silicone rubber. It covered the nose and mouth and went around to my ears. It has air filters at the front. I shiver. I wish I could of been there. To stop the pain, to be able to breath fresh air, run through the woods swim in lake. I leave swim the sea and text my Mum to say I am leaving. Lucky the train station is only a 5 minute walk away. I popped my wireless earphones in and got my phone out. I played my favorite song "Earth" by Lil Dicky. I really love the classics.

I stare out the window. Looking at the dark smoke surrounding the train. I image that were trees once stood tall dark building now brood over the earth. I can hear the noise of busy streets and cars honking, people screaming.

I walk to my door, through the airlock and into my house. I can finally take of my dreaded mask off.
