|| Yes, I know there's a heckton of wing stuff/ fanfics w/ the bois, but why not. ||
Virgil fluttered his wings impatiently. He had dyed the tips of his crow wings purple to match his jacket, but the dye wouldn't dry fast enough.
"Virgil? Why would you dye your wings?" Logan landed near him. His large eagle owl wings knocked Virgil away a little bit as he tucked them to his sides.
Virgil turned to glare at him. "Aesthetic." He hissed.
Logan pursed his lips, shaking his head.
They were resting in a park, created by the imagination. All of the sides had wings, but they could only be revealed in the imagination.
"Whoooo wants to have a dogfight?" Roman grinned, streaking to the ground and running over. He had large bearded vulture wings, stained red with sand.
"And you! Why did you dye your wings too?" Logan turned to the sound, throwing up his hands.
Roman's grin remained on his face. "It fits my colors? The red is just stunning." He folded his wings around, brushing off a spot that was darker than others.
There was a happy chirping sound as Patton tumbled to the ground near the other three, his smaller bluejay wings hitting the ground with a smack, and he fell flat on his back.
"Hey kiddos! What's going on?" He asked, bouncing to his feet.
"They are dying their wings different colors. It seems unreasonable, in my opinion. Why would you need to change the color of your wing? Nature designed wings to be- Augh!" He was cut off as Virgil threw his wing around, dye now dry, cuffing Logan over the head.
"Shut it, dictionary." Virgil snapped. "We can do what we want."
Logan grumbled, rubbing his head.
"Ooh, I have a better idea than just a simple dogfight. What about..." Roman trailed off, narrowing his eyes. He snapped, materializing four paintball guns than fell to the ground. He looked back at the other three sides. "Paintball. Wings don't count."
"So we could use them as shields? What's the point then?" Virgil asked, crossing his arms.
"It makes the game harder. You have to hit your target without them blocking with their wings." Roman explained, excited.
"... Let's do it." Virgil said after a pause, leaping at the guns. He snatched one up, magically filling it with purple paintballs.
Roman was the second to follow, grabbing a gun of his own with red paintballs.
Patton squeaked. "This is going to be fun!" He picked up a gun with light blue paintballs.
Logan hesitated. "I have some research I need to do for some of the facts in the next video..."
"Wrong. Think fast." Virgil lifted his gun, pegging Logan in the chest before he could respond.
"... Fine." Logan snatched up the gun, firing a quick series of paintballs at Virgil, but the other side threw up his wing, expecting the counterattack.
"You're on." Virgil dropped his wing ever so slightly to grin at Logan, only to have to duck to avoid a red paintball.
"Don't forget about the rest of us," Roman fired again, watching at Virgil took to the skies, "It's every man for himself."
"Or is it..." Virgil murmured to himself as he flew off, finding a hiding spot.
Roman laughed, flaring his red wings and running, beating a few times before taking off. He soared into the air, catching an air current and heading in the direction Virgil went.
