Front row seats

I was at home when I got a text from my friend.

Charlotte: Hey y/n! So there is this new upcoming artist named Shawn Mendes. Have you heard of him?
Y/n: I think I've heard the name...
Charlotte: well I've got an extra ticket to his show tonight because becca bailed! Wanna come?
Y/n: why not, I have nothing better to do😂
Charlotte: great I'll pick you up in 2 hoursss

I got up from the couch and went into my room. I picked out a pair of ripped jeans and a crop top. I curled my hair and did some light makeup.

Sometime later, I heard a knock at my door. I opened it to see Charlotte with a massive grin on her face. "You ready!" She asked looking me up and down. "Let's go" I laughed, closing the front door. In the car, we played some of his music as I had never heard it before. I can't lie it was pretty good.

When we arrived, I started heading towards the long queue. "Where are you going?" Asked Charlotte. "We have meet and greet vip tickets, we need to go to the other line silly." She laughed before dragging me to the other side. I guess I'm going to meet Shawn Mendes.

There were two girls in-front of us, and then it was our turn. We heard giggling and laughing from inside. When it was finally my go, after waiting ages in the queue, I walked in to see shawn standing there waiting for me. "Hey! How are you doing" he said opening his arms for a hug. I walked over and hugged him. "I'm good thanks how are you?" I asked politely and calmly. "Woah your different" He laughed before we posed for the camera. "Different?" I asked when the picture had been taken. "Yeah, everyone else who has come in here for the meet and greet today either couldn't breath, had a panic attack or started crying" he laughed. "But you, your different. You came in and talked to me as if I was a Freind, not some singer that you came to see at a concert."

I laughed before saying "well actually im not really a fan. Oh no don't get me wrong your music is great but I didn't even know I was coming here until a few hours ago, my friend dragged me along." He laughed before saying "well, I'm glad you came, because if you hadn't I wouldn't have got to see that pretty face." I felt a shade of pink crawl onto me cheeks before a security guard looked at shawn to signal that it was time to move on to the next person in line. "It was nice meeting you..." he trailed off.
"Y/n" I said. "Y/n, it was nice meeting you y/n" he said before sending me a warm smile. I walked out the doors to see Charlotte waiting for me, she had her turn just before mine.

"So how was it! Isn't he just great!" She squealed. "I can't lie, he's pretty cute..." I mumbled rubbing my arm. She playful elbowed me before we started to walk towards the arena.

i followed her to the front row and sat down just below where the mic was set up. "Wow Charlotte, these are really good seats!" I said putting my bag on the floor. After a while of waiting, all of the seats filled and the lights lowered. Everybody screamed, meaning Shawn was getting on stage. He walked up to the mic before saying "how are you guys doing out there!" Everyone cheered as he began to play his first song. As he sang he looked down and we locked eyes. I thought he wouldn't remember me but he waved and smiled which sort of shocked me. I waved back before he looked away again.

after the show, me and Charlotte were one of the last people remaining in the arena. We were about to leave when I heard a voice behind me. "Y/n?"
I turned to see shawn jumping off the stage and walking towards me. "Oh hey shawn" I said walking towards him. I heard Charlotte squeal behind me and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Uh...so I really liked talking to you today..." he muttered, scratching the back of his neck. "Me too..." I replied, a smile playing on my lips. "So...um...I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime? Maybe I could get your number?" He asked shyly. He handed me his phone and I typed in my number. "Shawn!" A voice called from back stage. "Oh that must be Andrew looking for me" Shawn said turning to face me. "I'll text you?" I nodded. Just before he was about to walk away, he kissed me on the cheek. I smiled widely before hearing Charlotte freak out behind me again. Shawn looked at Charlotte and laughed before running off.
