Diary Pt. 5

"Rule number one, don't tell anyone about the item, you can lie about it but whatever happens never, ever let anyone know about that diary. Even if when I'm not around, I'll know, I'll always know."

"Rule number two, don't destroy the item at all cost. Any type of damage will lead you to a very serious consequence, even tearing a page of that diary."

"And lastly, do not use the item against me. Believe me, you will face your consequence even before you could write anything in that diary."

Ciera completely remembered the rules that the hooded man said. Sweats started to race down her face as she continued to type something on her new laptop that her mom gave her yesterday, and of course with the help of the diary.

She was awake all night just to finish her biggest plan, which is almost done. After this, all she needed to do is to rewrite it in the diary. And she believes that after those restless nights, she will live happily before the year ends. Their doorbell suddenly rang but she just ignored it.

Aunt Emily must've been expecting a visitor. She thought.

She continued typing on her laptop when a knock on her door made her stop. She immediately closed her laptop and asked for who it was.

"It's your aunt, dear, someone is waiting for you in the living room." Her aunt's voice is still as sweet as if she really has changed completely.

"I'll be right there, just a minute." Ciera hurriedly ran into the bathroom and washed her face thinking who could it be. She looked into the mirror and her face looks so tired, her eyes are turning reddish, eyebags starting to show, messy hair and very pale lips. She knows that the moment her aunt will see her she would probably freak out. And at a time like this, she already knows what to do.

On the other hand, a guy is sitting quietly on the couch in their living room. And as he waited, he stood up and looked at the picture frames that were hanged on the wall that made him smile as he saw some pictures of Ciera while she was a child. There was this one picture frame that got his attention, it was the biggest frame hanged on the wall. A picture of a complete family, but he wondered why Ciera's face seems to be so sad in that picture.

"That was the time when my parents decided to work in Japan and left us here with our aunt." Tobias quickly turned around and there he saw Ciera, as fresh as the morning.

"Ciera, I didn't notice you there, uh are you ready?" Ciera just stared at him wondering what he's talking about.

"Ready for what?" Tobias just chuckled and held Ciera's shoulder.

"You forgot already? I just texted you a while ago."

"Oh I'm so, so sorry, I um, I was really busy and I have to finish it so I haven't got the chance to read your messages." Tobias sighed and smiled.

"It was supposed to be our date today but, I think you're tired so-"

"Holy shit! Today is Sunday?!" Tobias just nodded while still smiling, "Wait for me here I'll be right back." Tobias was about to say something but Ciera already rushed up to her room. Tobias just sighed and sat back on the couch.

After twenty minutes of waiting Ciera was already back wearing an above-knee obsidian sleeveless dress paired with black boots. Tobias got up from the couch and stared at Ciera with his eyes filled with amusement. Apart from her outfit that totally fits her skin tone and hair, Tobias thinks that her sparkly grey eyes made her look outstanding.

"How do I look?" Ciera spun round that made Tobias speechless, "Tobias?"

"Y-You look, perfect." Tobias had nothing else to say so Ciera flashed her sweetest smile at him.
