Ah, homework. It is the only thing I ever think about when I get home. But I never think of it fondly. Especially when you've just received a call from your principal, saying you'll stay here another month.
It was really nice here but I knew that after two months I'd get too... attached. I was gonna start missing this place and when I had to go back home I'd have to say goodbye...
I reminded myself I shouldn't think about this. I had more important things to think about, like homework and school. The thought of that made me go back to the book in front of me. I decided I wouldn't think about this and I wouldn't bring it up.
*a few weeks later*
"C'mon, Alex! You can do it!" Angel was practically whispering her encouragements.
I put my fingers behind my front teeth and blew some air out. The earsp-litting noice made Angel flinch.
She thought it was a good idea to teach me how to whistle louder. Next to a yard where there was a dog. At noon. Close to a house where there were definitely people inside. Yeah... I don't how she thought that was a good idea... which made us run... because the dog started barking and there was commotion happening in the house.
"Goddamn it!" Angel gasped next to me. We were laughing and running at the same time, trying to move our legs as fast as possible.
"Okay. I think we're far away now." I breathed more than said and slowed down.
We were trying to catch our breaths but when we looked at each other we erupted in laughter.
"You look so red!" Angel pointed at my face, her other hand, failing to contain her laughter.
"Shut up! You started running first, you coward!" I yelled.
After ten minutes of hysterical laughing and making fun of each other we decided to call it a day.
"That was a loud whistle," Angel said while we were getting home. "You have to thank your teacher," she flipped her hair behind her ear proudly.
"Yeah, tomorrow... I think I lost him on the way here."
Angel gasped in disbelief and hit me on the shoulder. "How dare you?!" We both giggled
"Whatever, bye." she waved while getting into her house.
"See you tomorrow." I waved back.
When Angel got in her house I looked around. Norway was beautiful and quite. I was gonna miss this. I headed home.
*morning*
Late... again. But at least this time was by five minutes not freaking fourty minutes. Anyways, the first class was over now and I had to grab my stuff... except there was a familiar face next to my locker... I just had to guess whose face it is.
"Marcus?" I looked at him. He smiled. "Yes!" I said proudly.
He started clapping, "Yeah, yeah, I can see you can tell apart the beautiful twin from the other twin."
I snorted, "You know you're called twins for a reason, right? Do you even know what twins are?"
"No, Alex, I don't," he looked at me in the eyes. "I grew up with my brother, staring into a mirror, not knowing what twins are."
"'Staring into a mirror', huh? I got it." I leaned into my locker to get my stufff but then I added loud enough for him to hear. "Narcissist."
He rolled his eyes but smiled. "No, we just have to look good for our fans."
