Lucas' POV:
It's been about an hour since we've been in detention. One hour to go. Maya was still in the back.
Riley and Farkle ended up sitting somewhere else as I sat by myself.
I got up and went to sit with maya.
I glanced over and Riley and she rolled her eyes.
I sat next to maya.
"Can I sit here?" I asked.
"Go ahead." Maya smiled.
I smiled back.
"So where are you going after this?" Maya asked.
"Um home I guess. What about you?" I asked.
"Home."
"Do you want to hang out?"
"I can't. Uh my dad doesn't want me home late ya know. Especially since it's a school night."
"Oh. Maybe another time."
"Maybe."
Mr Matthews then walked in.
"Ok guys come with me." Mr Matthews said.
"Where are we going?" Riley asked a little annoyed.
"To the cafeteria."
"What! Why!" Farkle shouted.
I slowly slipped my hand into Maya's hand and intertwined our hands together.
She looked at me a little confused. All I did was smile at her to make sure that she is safe.
She smiled back. No blushed. It's adorable when she blushes.
"Come on." I tell maya.
"Ok." Maya smiled.
We got up. Riley and Farkle got up too.
Riley crossed her arms over her chest and followed maya, mr Matthews, Farkle and I to the cafeteria.
Maya's hand was still intertwined with mine and I made sure not to squeeze her hand to hard. She is fragile.
We arrived at the cafeteria doors.
"So what are we doing here?" Maya asked.
"You guys are going to clean up the cafeteria." Mr Matthews said.
"That's easy how messy could it be?" Riley smiled.
Mr Matthews smirked and opened the cafeteria doors.
The cafeteria is a mess. Food and drinks spilled everywhere.
Gum under the tables.
Wrappers and cartons everywhere.
"Whoa." We all say.
"Have fun." Mr Matthews said and we entered.
"Aprons and hairnets are in the back." Mr Matthews added and left.
