I want to show you a life better than the one you've known

so let's pack up, start our lives and throw away our phones 

I know you had to grow up way too soon so let's be kids, we'll sing songs in the car way out of tune

we can spend days laying around watching cartoons

or we can go on adventures stay up all night and wake up at noon 

I'll wake you up with nerf gun wars 

and make slip & slides on the hallway floors

I could sit here everyday and listen to you talk if you gave me the choice 

ask me what my favorite song is and I'll say it's your morning voice 

let's get away from this life and start brand new 

waking up next to you everyday there's no better view

let's book one way plane tickets and never look back

you bring the drinks I'll pack some snacks

let's untie the nooses around our necks called responsibilities 

and explore the world of possibilities

I wonder how we'll feel when the circumstances are different

like if the distance between us was non existent 

not only physically but mentally too

let's be on the same page 

break out of the thoughts that keep us in a cage
