Dustin's POV
Like usual, I was ready to hit the campgrounds before the meet & greet, and so far, I've liked what I've seen. Then, a young woman caught my eye. She had the most beautiful smile. I had to get to know her better so, I walked over to her, and I didn't even have to introduce myself, she knew who I was right off the bat. "OH MY GOD, YOU'RE DUSTIN LYNCH! I'm such a HUGE fan!" She said, smiling that beautiful smile. "Aha, thank you. I realized I didn't catch your name, why don't you tell me after tonight's show?" I asked, looking at her as I smiled and handed her a backstage pass. "Of course, thanks Dustin!" She smiled again as she walked back over to her friends and I walked back towards my bus to get ready for the show.
During the show, I found the young woman in the crowd, close to the front and while I sang, I took her hand during the chorus of my song, "Halo". She smiled the whole time and I winked before I let go of her hand. After the show, I walked over to my manager to ask if a young woman with the description I'd given had made it backstage and just as he was about to speak, she came running up to me. After describing what had occurred outside, my manager was understanding and I took the young woman back to my bus. "So, will you tell me your name? Where you're from? I'd love to get to know you better." I asked, rushing it all out at once. She smiled and nodded, "I'm Hailee Steinfeld, I'm 17 and I'm from Los Angeles." I had to do a double take for a second, THE Hailee Steinfeld was sitting right in front of me and I didn't even recognize her. I'd felt like such an idiot, seeing as my niece was obsessed with her movies and her music and everytime she came over, it was like all she could talk about was Hailee.
"I am so sorry, I didn't even recognize you. You just seemed so different out there today. Your movies and music is all my niece can seem to talk about, she's a pretty big fan of yours." I said, smiling like an idiot. She let her hand rest on my knee and I immediately felt my face get hot. "S-So, how'd you like the show?" I asked, a little nervous. I've got a beautiful woman on my bus and I'm not doing a damn thing about it because I'm a gentleman, sometimes I wish I had game. "I loved it! I especially love your song, 'Name On It', its such a fun dance-y song! But, in all honesty, I did come to just see you. I'm a huge fan, not a stalker but, you're pretty damn hot." She said, still having her hand rest on my knee. I looked from her hand to her eyes then to her lips. I leaned over as she rested her hand on my upper bicep, I slowly started to move in and she finished closing the space between us and kissed me. I kissed her back, slowly and passionately, letting my hands rest on her upper and lower back, holding her close to me. "So, when are you gonna ask me out?" She asked me. I smiled and kissed her again, "How's now sound?" I asked, looking at her as I pulled back from her lips slowly. "My answer is yes, a thousand times yes." She said, kissing me back. I'd asked her if she was able to stay on tour with me for the rest of the time, she'd said yes but, that she'd have to see how she could work school around it. I'd told her about my tour manager's former job and she accepted. He was a former school teacher and he was glad to help out, her mom & dad were even fine with it. I could see this relationship going somewhere, slowly but surely, I could tell she was the one.
