ACM's, 2019- Dustin's POV
I was dressed and ready, Hailee was in the process of almost being ready. I waited by the window in the room while my photographer, Swiss, decided that it would a good idea to snap a few before Hailee came out and I obviously became distracted. I smiled as Hailee walked out and spun around so I could get the entire view. She chose a red dress and heels to match. I walked over to her and smiled, "You look incredible, sweetheart." She smiled and kissed me softly. I kissed her back and let our fingers lace together. "Alright, well, we'd better get going if we wanna make it on time. Lord knows Brittany & Lauren won't let me live it down if we're late." She kept our fingers laced together as she walked out of the hotel room. I followed her as we got to the car and I helped her in first. She sat damn near on my lap, at least it felt like that because of how close she was and rested her head on my shoulder, sighing. "You feeling ok, honey?" I asked as she kept her head on my shoulder. She nodded as she looked up at me, "Yeah, I'm alright. Just thinking." I nodded, thinking that it wouldn't be right to ask, normally when she's thinking she's kind of in a touchy mood, she could either be extremely happy or seriously pissed off, you never know. She leaned up to my ear & whispered, "I was just thinking about how badly I wanna rip that suit off of you, tip the driver so he'll leave, lock these doors and just make love." The minute she said 'lock these doors', I was tempted to do just that but, we'd arrived at the venue. "Mr & Mrs. Lynch, we're here. I'll grab the door for you." Our driver said, as he got out and opened our door. "Thank you, have a great night!" Hailee said, stepping out. I nodded in response and thanked him as well after taking Hailee's hand and walking to the blue carpet. I smiled as fans squealed as Hailee & I walked by. She took a few photos with them before stepping onto the carpet with me.
I smiled as she leaned into my side and kissed my cheek as Thomas Rhett or TR as we all called him, took the stage. I smiled as I danced with her while he sang, 'Die A Happy Man'. He spun his wife, Lauren, around as he walked past her. Hailee looked over at our friends, Jason & Brittany, as they were swaying back and forth as well. They were expecting their second child, a daughter, Navy Rome. I smiled as Hailee leaned her back into my chest and watched as Jason got up from his seat and started to sing his hit, 'Girl Like You'.
