Ursula
One day at a time, one tribute to the next. That is all I need, and eventually I will be the only tribute left, the victor. With that status, I will easily overthrow my no-good brother and become ruler of the seas.
Once that happenned, the good times would be back. Those trembling crowds of selfish, cracked and peeled for me to dine. Not because I'm mean, or selfish, of course not! I only want what's mine. And that was exactly what I was going to get, with a whole lot more then even I had dreamed.
Suddenly, my thoughts are interrupted by a needle injected into my arm, almost as if the Capitol was injecting me with some kind of drug to knock me- As if on cue, everything went black, and I fell asleep.
When my eyes opened again, I felt the familiar motion of waves rocking, and a plotting grin reached my face. If the Gamemakers had really put us on a boat, my trident's power had easily doubled, due to the ridiculous amount of water surrounding us. This could prove to be rather enjoyable. Brielle's voice exit the speakers near me, making her first announcement of the Games. "Congratulations, Artemis, Ella, Ender, Eponine, Estella, Violet and Ursula, on being our final seven tributes. However, there is still a twist, and I'm not talking about the new arena..."
I gulped. Twists were usually bad for most people, though sometimes helpful for one or two. I had to be part of the people it helped, or I could die very shortly. "One of the four tributes from Redemption Island has returned, and is now tied to the captain's chair in the control room, waiting for you to either rescue them, or kill them. That tribute is either Annabeth, Audrey, Benjamin, or Roxie."
As soon as I heard those four names, I knew what I had to do. I had to go to the control room, in the middle of the fight. No matter what, it could give me tributes to kill. If Roxie had returned, it would even give me an ally.
Picking up my trident, I hopped out of my room, and raced out to try and find the control room, though I eventually slowed down to catch my breath. I finally found a flight of stairs, and stumbled onto the main deck, which meant I was getting closer to finding the tribute.
Violet stumbled towards me, a knife in her hand. "I've been waiting for this moment," she said, looking me right in the eye. "You tried to kill your own ally, but now I can get my revenge."
She lept towards me, knife ready to stab, and I raised my trident. As soon as she came close to hitting me, a giant wave reached on the boat, pulling Violet towards the sea.
However, the boat had thick concrete walls, which stopped her from drowning like I had originally plan. The force of the wave rammed her against the wall, and the sound of crushing bones filled my ears, along with Violet's screams of pain, and, eventually, her cannon.
I progressed towards the control room, and when I eventually found it, I heard two voices in front of it, and I pressed myself against the side of the wall, in order to hear the conversation.
"I'm telling you, this girl is the perfect bait." the first voice said. "Once Ursula finds out the jailbird is here, waiting, she'll rush over to free her. And then we can kill them both."
Roxie was the returning tribute? That was wonderful! It gave me the power I needed, and some company in this arena. But how did I free her? The two tributes had to be rather strong, which meant it would be hard to get through them to reach Roxie.
I noticed a little figure on the wall in front of me, trying to creep through the shadows. Slowly, I walked towards it, and trapped him against the wall with a jet of water. "Ender?" I asked, surprised.
