I watched as Mina walked through her front door silently. She creaked the door as she closed it and I heard thumping coming from the stairs. I sneaked closer to her small house. Weeds contaminated the grass and vines streamed from the trees. The grass grew long out of the ground.
I suddenly heard a smack and I looked back up to see Mina on the floor, her father towering above her, "Why did you come so late!" He yelled. "B-b-bu-"no excuses!" He kicked her aside as she whimpered on the floor. Tears streaked over her rosy cheeks.
"That ...that ..that-" I mumbled to myself. I growled with rage over the man that was supposed to be her father. This reminded me of another story and a scene flashed through my mind.
"Give me it, your hand!" A man said. "B-but , Daddy" she cried. "Give me your freaking hand!!" He snapped. "No not that one!" He smacked her across the face "you know What I'm talking About! noW Give me It!" He slowly felt a shape in his hands. Long fingers protruded from it. It was an invisible hand that he was feeling. The father grabbed a knife and cut off the hand in his hand. She cried out in pain and blood seemed to pour out of no where, onto the floor. "Now come on, next one" he said more calm. "O-ok-ay" she sobbed.
I'm going to kill that jerk if it's the last thing I do...
Mina heard a knock on her door and slowly opened it saying "Daddy, it wasn't my fault! Please don't hurt m-" she noticed it was her friend instead of her father. "What! Why are you here, Kage!" "You can't be here!" She whispered. "It's ok, Mina. I took care of your father." Kage's reassured her. "What?" She asked in confusion. "It's fine, don't worry about it".
Kage dragged her friend by the hand downstairs. She made sure that Mina wouldn't see the bloody mess of her father.
They held hand in hand and walked down the streets smiling in the moonlight, "Hey, Kage" said Mina, "Thanks for getting me out of there, however you did it" I saw tears drop to the cement pavement of the sidewalk, "What's wrong, Mina" I panicked. "Oh nothing. It's just that I'm so happy!" She sobbed as drops poured down her cheeks. "Some one finally saved me"
We walked by an alley and a sound echoed from it. Suddenly blood spattered across my face as I looked to the side and saw my friend falling to the ground. Time froze as a crimson-haired girl walked out from the darkness.
Tears now ran down my face as I shot out my vectors toward the little girl. A shocked face transfers from her smirk and my vectors brought back her head.
"No...., Mina." I sobbed. I cried that day to my heart's content thinking, 'Is this what a diclonius is? Is this what I am? Is this why those people cry for their loved ones when I kill them?'
"Well if that's the case then I don't wanna be one!"
"I promise Mina that I will never kill another human again. I shall only murder the freaks, the mutants that contaminate this planet. I Vow this" I mumbled to myself.
"I- I " I sobbed. That day my best friend died in cold blood.
This chapter was definitely lazy. Sorry for the wait. I am also sorry for the death of Mina. For you out there who knew it would happen, I could understand why you would think that. Some sad stories end that way. Welp time for the epilogue releasing on Mother's Day.
