Another three months passed, and they were now on the verge of celebrating the Spring or Vernal Equinox, which Rebel called Ostara. By this Time, Poison'd gotten back in the studio to start recording their next album–the first with new lead guitarist, Richie–and they were all excited to see what Direction they'd wind up going in. The young guitarist could play just about anything, even country when he felt like it, but he described his style as a mixture of mostly rock, blues, heavy Metal, jazz, fusion, and Soul.

Every Time he picked up his guitar, Bobby could hear the blues, heavy Metal, and Soul the best, but he wouldn't deny the others were there, too. Hell, there were prolly even more styles mixed in that he either hadn't thought about, or simply hadn't mentioned so he could keep the list short. Regardless of that, though, he certainly used a shit-ton of legato and what he referred to as sweeping in his playing style, too.

The first song they'd gotten finished was what the bassist's wife still called Fire and Ice, to keep the title short since it was a mouthful. Part of what'd helped them get the song tracked so quickly was that–after at least half a dozen takes, the last of which left him nearly throwing a mic at young Richie–the young woman'd thrown Bret outta the recording booth for the Day. Like she'd done plenty of Times before, she one-upped him when she stepped into it, herself and laid down lead vocals for what they'd have to dub a demo track, just in a key closer to what the guitarist's backing vocals were in. The thing that surprised all of them, even her hsuband, was that her voice and the way she could throw Emotion into it was every bit as Soulful, if not more so.

While he could throw Emotion into his voice pretty well when it suited him, the vocalist just couldn't do it the way Rebel could. In all Honesty, none of them could, even with twenty turns through the booth to give it one more try before they got too fed up. That made her laugh and say that not everyone could be a Music Witch like she was, which just made Bobby chuckle and shut her up with a kiss, much to Zakk's delight. Then again, he kinda wondered what she'd meant by calling herself a Music Witch, and he decided to ask one Nig-ht when they were alone back at Rikki's place.

"So, what'd ya mean by calling yourself a Music Witch earlier, sugar?" he asked as he came outta the adjoining bathroom, toweling his hair dry after a shower.

"Well, going by what I found online before my Time Travel, Music Witches're Witches who enjoy Music–they use magick in their singing, chanting, and playing instruments. Music's in their Lives every Day, and is how they Create magick in other peoples' Lives. They may worship Music-related deities, enjoy the Music of their Ancestors, and enjoy Music history," she explained.

"Huh, sounds almost like me, just without actually being a Witch," the bassist chuckled.

"Their magick's deeply-rooted in Music, and they've a certain connection with Sounds and use 'em to enhance rituals and spells. They're Blessed with Inspiration and are usually extremely talented in Arts and Crafts–they can easily compose spells and even sing 'em, empowering their magickal vibes," Rebel continued wi-th a grin.

"All right, if that's not you, I'll eat my own foot!" he laughed, settling on the edge of the bed.

"Another one that fits is Sound Witch, 'cuz they're Witches who love Music, Sounds in Nature, and any auditory sensation. They use Sound to celebrate Nature and express their magickal intent, and may worship Music and auditory-related deities," Rebel told him.

"Now I'm kinda curious as to whatcha based this on, and how I'd find out what I'd be, were I a Witch, too."

"My Zodiac sign, and you'd be a Nocturnal Witch, if we went by your Zodiac sign."
