Chapter - 32 - Basement

Jeno pov

That's when I suddenly heard someone scream.

Who was that?

And why was it coming from inside the house?

I immediately stood up and followed the screams.

When I reached in front of the basement door, the screams stopped and the whole house was quiet.

I didn't know Mark had a basement.

I slowly opened the door and went down the steps.

When I reached the bottom, it was pitch black.

After minutes of searching, I finally found the switch board.

I turned the lights on.

A whole hallway was lit up with several rooms on each side and at the very end, there was a huge metal door with all sorts of locks on it.

What is Mark up to?

I walked down the hallway and stopped in front of a door from which I heard two people talking.

On the front door, it was written " Spare room ".

I heard a man and women conversing inside the room.

Beside the door, on the floor, an iron rod was kept. There was blood dripping from it.

I took it and hid it behind my back.

I needed it in case something goes wrong.

I knocked on the door.

They stopped talking and the door opened.

" Mark and Haechan , we were waiting for yo- " the man said and suddenly stopped when he looked at me.

" Oh, Jeno, um.. " and before he could continue I took out my iron rod and hit him on the head.

He fell down with a thud and blacked out.

His wife, I'm guessing, came out from behind.

" Oh my God! Honey! " she said looking down at her husband.

I was going to hit her on the head as well, but someone from behind put a cloth on my mouth and I fainted.

Mrs. Na's pov

" Oh my God! Honey! " I said as I saw my husband lay on the ground with blood oozing from his head.

I saw Jeno in front of me. He was about to hit me with the rod as well, but Mark came from behind him and put a cloth in his mouth and Jeno fainted.

" Mark, how did Jeno get here? " I asked him while Haechan was standing next to him in shock.

" I don't know Mrs. Na. He somehow found out about this place "

" What should we do now? "

" Haechan will bandage Mr. Na and you both stay inside your room and lock the door. Meanwhile, I'll take Jeno to the room Jaemin's kept in and tie him up there "

" Ok " I said and went inside the room.

Haechan's pov

How did Jeno find out about this place?

Now that he knows about us, we're certainly dead.

I bandaged Mr. Na's wound, carried him inside and put him on his bed.

Mrs. Na still looked quite distraught from what happened.

" Please lock the door " I said and went outside the room.

I made my way to the room Jaemin was kept in and went inside.

Mark hyung was tying Jeno to the pillar opposite to Jaemin.

Jaemin was still sleeping and Jeno was still unconscious.

" Haechan " Mark hyung said.

" Yes? "

" Get them some food and water "

" Sure, but what do we do with Jeno? "

" There's only one thing to do Haechan "

" And what's that? "

" We have to help them escape "
