When Rantaro started typing up what he dreamed about last night I spat out my panta away from the computer screen and started coughing by how exactly right he was about that dream...the possibility of what might've happened if I didn't trick Tsumugi into fabricating her own memories into one where that blasted game didn't exist and here is Rantaro explaining the entire plot I heard from Tsumugi that he just dreamt of last night...when I quickly looked at the screen again to make sure I wasn't crazy after I stopped coughing, somebody knocked on my door so I stopped to listen.

"Hey Melody are you okay in there it sounded like someone found you out or something?" I heard from outside, Kokichi must have heard me coughing and wanted to see what's up to probably mess with me.

"N-No I'm fine just had something caught in my throat, nothing to worry about Kokichi" I replied, lying like it was nothing so he wouldn't question it.

"Okay then but just know I will find out what's going on sooner or later" Kokichi said as he walked away back to his dorm room thankfully.

After he left, I typed a message in the chatroom saying I just remembered that I needed to help Chiaki with her gaming club location idea and logged out after Rantaro finished explaining and went to Chiaki like I said I would.

After helping Chiaki out, I was trying to avoid meeting my friends in case they might try to ask why I left kinda fast...and i'll be damned if I tell them the truth so easily when it's a truth they might not like...oh who am I kidding they definitely not gonna like it if they knew! Plus there's a chance that Tsumugi might remember and I can't chance it!

When I got to my room door, I heard whispers of people going over a plan so I just walked away to the roof to have some time to myself...what i did not expect was Kirumi, Shuichi, Ouma, Kaede and Rantaro to be there...the others must have tricked me into going here to get interrogated by the sleuths of the group.

I was about to leave before they spotted me but fate had other plans since I didn't expect Gonta to close the door before I could go through, causing the others to turn around and spot me.

Before they had the chance to talk to me, I already started going down the fire escape on the roof close to my right since I've been here so many times and went in the school to go back to my room...if my theory is correct they'll think their jobs are done and left my dorm room alone...hopefully it's correct and my room isn't a mess right now.

When I got back to my room, it was quiet, no whispers, no shouting, no one moving about but me thankfully and I went in my room to sleep for a while after my escape from their first attempt to interrogate me.

When I woke up I checked the time and found it was 4am so I went out my room and went up to the roof to look at the stars...they always calm me down when I feel troubled, this is probably one of those times.

When I got to the roof I sat down close by the door and looked at the stars and the constellations they made, my favourite one is the Libra constellation, symbolising truth and justice in the starry sky.

"Heh knew I'd find you here" I heard from the right, causing me to look and see Kaito by the door leaning against it.

"...Are you gonna question me or are you here for the view?" I asked him in case Shuichi or Maki sent him up to try and question me.

"Nah i'm not gonna ask you any questions like all the others are trying to do...I can see you don't want to say anything so i'll stay back from questioning you, besides i'd take watching the stars than sitting through an interrogation any day" Kaito answered, going over to sit beside me to watch the stars.

"Heh amen to that" I said to him as I started to wonder why he was here this early so after a couple of hours of looking at the stars and talking I asked, "Why did you come up here, aren't you usually the last one to wake up at 4?"

"Ah I couldn't get some sleep and went to get something to help me when I saw you walking up the steps, at first I thought I should leave you alone to clear your head but then I thought you needed someone to talk to and trust in our class since everyone, well not everyone since me and Maki are staying out of it, is after you for questions you yourself can't or won't answer not unless you know they won't tell anyone else" Kaito explained, making me nod in understanding before smiling.

"Thanks Kaito for talking to me...can I ask you a question?" I asked, while in my head I was gonna regret this sometime or another...they got me but if I play my cards right i'll get him to not tell anyone.

"Yeah Melody what is it?" Kaito replied in a curious, friendly tone...welp here goes nothing...

"What if I told you that what Rantaro typed in the chat was going to happen instead of all of this?" I asked moving my hand in the air to signify everything.

"Well I would think it was a joke at first but if you're saying you're absolutely serious about all of it I'll believe you" Kaito answered while in thought.

"...Rantaro's dream was what would have been if somebody didn't stop the mastermind before they could even start the game...that's what I was trying to hide from everyone...Kaito can you keep all this a secret? If what your face is telling me, I don't want to see the others like that" I said, seeing Kaito's stunned face after saying that.

After a minute or two he fell out of the trance he was in and was back to normal.

"...You're right about not wanting to tell the others this truth...I promise as luminary of the stars I won't tell anyone except Maki since she can see through my lies" Kaito said in acknowledgement on how serious my secret is.

"Thanks...anyways we should go back down, the others might be looking for you and me right now since it's 7 right now, me for questioning and you to see if you got me to crack" I said, walking to the door.

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea, by the way how do you manage to stay calm and lie like that in front of everyone, I mean even Kokichi can't see your lies" Kaito asked as we were walking down.

"Years of experience Kaito...years of experience" I simply said as we got to the classroom and got ready for the mob of questions that were about to be asked.

-timeskip to the end of the day-

6 hours...6 Hours of hell...they've been trying to corner me and get me to open up about what I'm trying to hide and it's been a nightmare to get away from them since they're very persistent...even with Kaito and Maki keeping some of them away it was still bad...I just hope that they'll give up soon or somebody finally stops them. For my sake and the little sanity I have left.
