Kokichi thought it was the end for his innocent nature as he tripped, but to his surprise he landed on a skateboard, which skated him into one of the research labs. When he got in the door closed and locked behind him. Scared he turned around and spotted Melody with her back against the door to allow the locks to activate correctly.

"Good my theory was correct of you coming this way, don't worry I'm not one of them nor will I ever be, I knew another version of you was coming here so I planned for it...hopefully I won't get any backlash for this..." Melody said to Kokichi to reassure him, to which he responded with a sigh of relief and exhaustion until the door started banging.

"Melody we know he's in there, open up or face the consequences!" Kirumi, from what Melody and Kokichi heard, said as she and the others started using tools and weapons on the door to no avail due to it, thankfully, being made of vibrainium.

"I'd rather face the consequences than to let you in right now thank you, just give him time to grow accustomed to being alive again. Please. Think before you leap huh?" Melody said, trying to reason with them so they could give Kokichi some space since she knows what that's like from experience.

"But we need him right now to welcome him back!" Kaede said, trying the locks on the door to no avail due to her inexperience with the puzzles on the door.

"Sorry no can do and even if you try the locks there's also a tune recognition you have to do to fully open the door, voice lock in case I forget the tune, oh and a fingerprint scanner that you have to go through so in theory Kokichi will come out when he is ready...now can you please just leave me and him alone today for I am trying to find a way out of this wretched school and would like the peace and quiet" Melody said to them in an annoyed tone.

After a minute of silence which un-nerved Melody a little into slowly reaching out for her guitar in case they found a way in until a muffled 'fine' was heard as well as footsteps were fading away from the door.

"...Okay they're gone, you're safe for now until they find another way to get in... hopefully it will be a day or two since I need to finish what I'm working on... I started working on it 5 days ago just after you died and thankfully 'she' hasn't noticed me not being out there until now..." Melody said, looking at Kokichi then going over to something that was covered by a light blue sheet.

"What is it you're working on? And why do you know that the mastermind is a girl?" Kokichi asked, curious about what's going on.

"...Look Kokichi, what I'm about to show you needs to be kept a secret until it's ready in two days...I made sure the nanokumas can't get in here by creating a nano bug freeze air conditioner so you and I are the only ones who know of this...can I trust you?" Melody asked, looking serious and talking in a pleading tone, wanting to know that she can trust someone here and not get betrayed.

"...How do I know that you're not the mastermind?" Kokichi asked her, trying to see if it's a lie or not.

"If I was wouldn't I not want to help everyone escape instead of the opposite?" Melody answered with a question.

"You could have had a change of heart..." Kokichi replied.

"I wouldn't be able to have a change of heart if I was lost to the dark and dangerous unknown that is despair...hope and justice are the things I fight for, not that evil despair and injustice...please believe me..." Melody stated, looking really honest and truthful in every word she said.

"...Okay I guess I can believe you, for now anyway...what is it you wanna show me?" Kokichi asked me.

"Thanks, now the machine I created is called Project Time dash One Infinity and it's gonna help us out with this predicament your old self created as well as putting a spanner in the mastermind's works" Melody explained, patting the machine underneath the sheet gently.

"Speaking of the mastermind, who is it?" Kokichi asked her as she started pulling the sheet off.

"I can't tell you who the mastermind is, but I can tell you that she is someone you can easily forget in a crowd" Melody answered as she finished taking the sheet off showing the machine that'll save everyone as soon as it's finished being built.
