Never say 'useless'

-Everyone's walking down to Leblanc-

Ryuuji: Man we've really gotta work on Makoto with the U word.

Ann: Why do you say that?

Ryuuji: She get's freaking violent! You've seen her nearly kill people over it!

Ann: Well you're not wrong...

Akira: Hi Makoto.

Makoto: Hello.

Ryuuji: Sup?

-they open the door-

Makoto: I'm well, how are you all-

Sojiro: *grunt* Ugh! Damn nails are so useless. Can't even hold up a shelf!

Melody: Told ya those nails were useless...

Ryuuji: O-Oh crap!

Makoto: *eyes twitch*

Melody: Huh? *Notices the atmosphere change to an ominous one, sees Makoto's eyes twitch and glances at Sojiro with a look of fear as she inches away from the broken shelf to the counter*...Get the coffee...

Ann: Uhhhh...Niijima-senp-

Makoto:...'Useless'..? *stares at Sojiro and Melody, blank-eyed*

Sojiro: Eh? *looks over, Makoto getting closer*

Ryuuji: C-Chill out!

Melody: *turns to Sojiro and holds hands out ready to catch* SOJIRO GET THE COFFEE!

Makoto: AHHHHHHH!!!!!! *starts running towards them with a baseball bat*

Sojiro: *quickly pours a cup of coffee and passes it to Melody, who catches it, holds it out to Makoto as quick as possible and slowly retracts her hands as Makoto reached for it*

Makoto: *stops in her tracks, sipping from the cup with both hands after dropping the bat*

Melody:...Phew that was a close one...major close one...

Akira: Amazing!

Ryuuji: How the hell did you know to-

Melody: I learned from an old friend that coffee can calm anyone down. especially people who've heard a trigger word so I was planning to tell Sojiro the tip when I had the chance or if a situation like this had arose...so the trigger word is u-s-e-l-e-s-s right?

Akira: Yes it is that word.

Melody: Right gotta remember not to say useless when Makoto is- ...don't tell me I know I made a mistake...terrible mistake on my part so I'll just be-*runs out of Leblanc and goes towards the station to Shibuya with her new found adrenaline, leaving a dust form behind in her place as Makoto gets angry, drops the now empty cup on the counter and chases after her with the baseball bat*

Makoto: I'LL SHOW YOU 'USELESS'!

Ann: ...Should we-

Ryuuji: Nah Melody's got this! I mean if she knows how to calm a triggered person down, then she sure as hell can run away from one...right?

Ann: ...Maybe we should follow just in case?

Akira: ...Good idea, we don't know if Melody can actually get away in time...

Ryuuji: And from what happened to the people that tried to escape...

-Scene changes to Melody running-

Yusuke: Ah Ms Song good to see-

Melody: *stops in her tracks to talk* Yusuke I need you to do something!

Yusuke: What is it that you're wanting me to do?

Melody: Just distract Makoto for me! ...I accidentally said her trigger word and now she's after my head, if you help me out here then I might help with some of the skill card requests Akira might ask of you and help you out to find your motivation to paint as thanks.

Yusuke:...Okay Ms Song i'll keep her back as long as I can.

Melody: Thank you Yusuke you are a lifesaver! *starts running again to the city like her life depended on it, hearing a scream of rage behind her* ...Good luck Yusuke...hope you make it through all this...better go shopping to pass the time*runs faster*

--5 hours of laying low later--

Melody: Ah! Here we are! *unlocks the door, opens it, closes the door and locks it* Well that was a good day of shopping for what I needed...why do I feel like i'm missing the bigger part of this picture here?

???: Maybe you forgot about someone?

Melody: Yeah I probably did, thanks for helping Makoto- ...*slowly turns around with her eyes closed, takes two steps to the left and opens her eyes to face Makoto*...You, my friend, are very persistent to make sure I get badly hurt for saying a word that got you angry when you could have used the time I was away to calm down like a sensible person...do you really want me to pay that much for a slight slip of the tongue?*her left hand slowly reaching the cupboard and opening it while keeping eye contact with Makoto*

Makoto: I said I'll make sure you pay for calling me 'useless'... so here I am to keep to it! *charges at Melody*

Melody: Right, knew you were gonna say that! *quickly pulls out the pepper spray and uses it on Makoto* Gotta give ya a warning though, this is gonna sting ya!

Makoto: *covers her eyes as they stung* Agh!

Melody:*pushes Makoto down, unlocks the door, go through and locks the door from the outside to give herself time to run* That's what happens when you bring a bat to a pepper spray fight...the pepper spray burns first!*runs to train station, texting everyone that she's going on holiday for a long while with them texting back, saying to be careful as she got on the train to Inaba* glad to see I've got good friends, speaking of friends, guess I'll be meeting the others at Inaba earlier than I planned it...hopefully no one will need my help while I'm away...
