I walked into Science class on Friday to Faith already in her seat. She raised her eyebrows and smiled.
"Okay, okay, you win this time" I said. Ever since we got the hang of passing time and getting to classes, whoever got to science first won, and the loser had to give the winner a peice of gum. I gave her her gum and she smiled and looked at me with those sparkly green eyes. Damn, she was So beautiful! just by looking at her I fell to peices.
"Did you do the homework last night Cam?"
"Sure did, I'm not going to fail science anyway I guess, I have an A- right now" I replied
"Oh and why would you fail?" I could see question in her eyes. I would have to be honest and tell her exactly why I thought I was going to fail
"Oh,Um because I thought I was always.. going to be Distracted...by you."
"So you are Trying to say..."
"Yeah."
She Beamed. She has never looked so radiant. The bell Rang, signaling the end of passing time. She turned her head so it faced up front towards the teacher. There were the silver pins again, On the back of her head. I tapped her shoulder.
"Do you wear the same silver hair pins everyday?"
"Yes, They were my mom's." she replied
Class droned on and finally the bell rang. Faith stood and looked at me.
"Cam?"
"Faith?"
"You are the first boy who told me I was pretty"
And with that, She left class.
