The weekend rolled around, And that made me both happy and sad. Don't get me wrong, I love the weekend, but If you have had a crush before, You miss them like heck on weekends. That was what got me out of bed in the mornings. part of me was telling me to go back to sleep, but then I remembered I would see her first thing in the morning and I would jump out of bed like a rabbit.
of course, I was already feeling sepration anxitey and texted her:
hi. how are u feelin?
good. U?
oh im fine, jest didnt get lots of sleep last night
neither did i.
"Time for lunch!" my mom yelled from downstairs
"Okay" I replied.
hey gtg time for be to go eat lunch
kk bye ;)
I scurried dovnstairs, greeted my mom and grabbed my already made plate of sandwiches, cheese and grapes.
"So" my mom said " do you have any homework this weekend?"
"Nah, not yet, I am hoping the teachers don't beleive in homework on weekends"
"Well i hope they do! do you have anything better to do?"
" Well, you are right on that one mom, I stand corrected."
We both laughed. I loved my mom so much, I could never get in a fight with her. I wasn't one of those kids who was ashamed of his mom and didn't want her to go anywere with him. If my mom had to be my date to a school dance, So be it.
I scarfed down my lunch and went back up to my room to read. Not many people know this, but I am am a big reader. I will go to my room and read for hours. However, I am much more happy when I have a bag of saltwater taffy with me.
I finished up my chapter and went downstairs. I poured myself a tall glass of cold water. I went outside for some fresh air, and looked up at the sky. The sunset had caused the sky to change a almost green blue color. I pulled out my phone and texted her.
Look, the sky is the color of your eyes.
