Chapter 12

I held Xavier's hand as we walked through the crowded airport. He had his large arm wrapped around my waist while he was whispering to me.

“I have a really bad wedgie,” he mumbled into my ear.

“Take it out then,” I replied, giggling.

“I can’t!” He argued.

“Why not?” I asked innocently, bringing his hand to my lips and kissing his knuckles. It sent tingles rushing through my veins.

“Because,” he began like a child. “There are people around,” he whined.

I sighed. “You’re such a baby!” I exclaimed.

He grinned. “Act like you’re hugging me and subtly take it out?” he suggested.

I giggled and shook my head as we headed to reception.  I handed the overly made up lady my passport, and Xavier did the same. I noticed the lust filled look she gave Xav but chose to ignore it. “Never.” I said.

“Please; I’ll give you my window seat,” he bribed.

My ears perked up at this. I had wanted the window seat for so long but Xavier had refused to give it to me, arguing that he liked it better and it was his seat to begin with – the child.

“Fine,” I gave in grudgingly, spinning around in his arms. I ran my hand down his back, acting like I was being affectionate. I held onto his boxers and subtly dragged them down.

“You’re pulling them off; stop,” he whispered, his lips moving against my neck.

I giggled all too knowingly. “Really?”

He nodded as the lady called out, announcing that our plane was the next to board. Grabbing Xav’s hand, I started the walk towards our terminal.

Xavier followed me his hand on my back “Thanks Sky-baby,” he whispered in my ear.

I closed my eyes, unwanted memories flooding through me.

Sky-baby.

Sky-baby.

Sky-baby.

I gasped. “D-don't call me that!” I cried, my heart pumping in fear. I tried to pull my hand out of his grip, but he held on tightly.

Xavier’s eyes widened and he stared at me. “Okay, I'm sorry. Sky, are you okay? You look as white as a ghost,” he apologised, honestly kissing my cheek gently. “I'm so sorry; I won’t say that again, I promise.”

I nodded. “Please don't,” I said, my voice crackling.

The plane ride was exhausting. As promised, Xavier had reluctantly given me the window seat. I was still jumpy from the previous events, but put it behind me and told myself to just enjoy the flight – for Xav’s sake if nothing else. I did, and I couldn’t wait to get back.

Once we finally arrived home, I was so tired that I simply dropped onto Xavier 's bed and fell fast asleep.

I stared at Skylar in anger. She was walking with a man, who obviously had money from the looks of it. I smirked, noting that she looked happy. Not for long little girl.

She was openly touching him and that pissed me off to no end. She should be touching the menI order her to, not that- that ugly bastard!

I growled. I needed to hurry up and come up with a plan to get Skylar back with me, without getting caught. Time was running out, and I’m an impatient man. Especially when it comes to getting what I want.

Xavier P.O.V

“What?” Skylar whined.

I grinned down at her. “Hand it over,” I said, leaning over the bed. My hand shot out, trying -but failing- to snatch it out of her hand.

Skylar only giggled. She was on the other side of the bed, wearing my T-shirt and jeans while clutching my brief case in her hands. My wolf had howled in pride when we noticed she was wearing one of our T-shirts when we woke up earlier this morning. It made me incredibly happy.

She was finally opening up to me.

“Xavier!” she suddenly gasped, sounding terrified. “Look behind you!”

I growled possessively, my fists clenched and ready to attack the predator that dared to scare my Sky.

I spun around.

Nothing was there.

I growled knowing that Sky had pulled a trick on me. I ran out of the room towards the kitchen and noticed she was putting a water bottle into my brief case. Once she was done packing it, she zipped it up and handed it to me.

“See ya' at the end of the day!” she smiled.
