Chapter 18

Skylar P.O.V

I stared at the night club, “How could you have persuaded me to do this?” I asked Max.

He grinned at me, his eyes twinkling in mischief. We were currently standing outside a nightclub. I should be nervous, I mean- I am nervous, however I'm not the panicky-paranoid freaky nervous.

I was the, I don't really care what happens to me nervous because, lets face it. I have nothing to lose.

Xavier had ruined me.

I was just a body now.

My soul had been broken, just like my heart.

The music pumped from outside the night-club making me shudder thinking how loud it would be inside. I had heard this song before, Rihanna, Diamonds I acknowledged. People poured from the exit, stumbling upon each other-obviously intoxicated. I gulped.

How had Max persuaded me to be here?

Oh yeah I remember, we were sitting around the dinner table and he had told me he wanted to go clubbing and was shocked when I told him he had never been clubbing before. He then proceeded to call me boring and I am adamant to prove him I am not boring!

I'm not boring.

Am I?

He had told me, he knew something bad had happened to me and I let it take over my life. I had no idea how he figured that out.

But I am not boring!

“Oh, has boring-mc-boring-ness changed her mind?” he asked me patronizingly.

I growled shaking my hair, my hair falling over my eyes. I needed a hair cut soon.

“Lets go.” I said checking the road for cars that were approaching.

“I'm not being boring by checking the road, I just don’t want to die.” I said crossing the road.

He grinned behind me, he nodded to the large bouncer waiting outside the club. The bouncers eyes flashed in recognition and he lets us pass.

When I walked in I was over-whelmed, I couldn’t see anywhere clearly. A thick fog had replaced the clear, fresh air. I gulped, Max leaned down his hot breath hitting my ear “Scared are we boring?” he asked.

I shook my head, ignoring the fear building up in my chest at the men who stared at me lustfully.

“No,” I said.

He grinned “Well then, lets get some drinks.” he said his hand on my waist steering me towards the bar, my ears pulsed from the music.

I was afraid.

I clutched on Max's hand he shot me a serious look “If your scared, we can Sky, I was just kidding.” he said, concerned.

I shook my head “No. I will overcome this fear.” I said, stubbornly.

He nodded screaming our order to the bartender who gave us our drinks almost immediately.

I stared at the small glass, it was filled with a clear liquid a lemon placed beside the cup.

I gulped “I...d-don't,” I began.

He shot me a smug look, one that said “HA I WAS RIGHT!” I shook my head smirking at him.

“I don't want to wait a minute.” I said reaching for the cup and copying what I saw in the movies.

I threw my head back chugging it down once I was done I licked the lemon, then I felt a urge to suck it, so I did.

I screamed out loud.

“Woohoo!” I whooped “I've never felt so exhilarated.” I said, my body pulsing with excitement I wanted to go onto the dance-floor. Lose myself in the music, the people, the smell.

The smoke.

I grinned at Max who I noticed was talking to a girl who I suspected was another vampire. From the way she was coloured and her scent.

I smiled and dropped myself into the tons of people who were going crazy.

I squealed in delight dancing with the people all around me.

I felt arms snaked around my waist “Your a feisty little female aren’t you?” A voice husked in my ear.

I giggled dropping my head onto the large shoulder “And you’re a perverted man aren’t you?” I asked giggling at my own joke.

“You’re a werewolf am I correct?” he asked his voice, slow seductive and sexy I smirked, as I spun around in his arms to face him.

I threw my head back ignoring him, my mouth slightly parted his head immediately shot to my neck where he took a large deep breath. I noticed multiple people around us had stopped, staring at us, they're jaw's dropping.

His tongue came out and his tongue swiped over my neck. I grinned swaying to the music, I felt exhilarated.

Alive.

His head came out of my neck, he had yellow eyes which shone, his black hair was thrown back elegantly and he stared at me his bright yellow eyes shooting at me light guns “I'm Caspian.” he said his voice dropping an octave.

I grinned at him.

“And you’re Skylar.” he told me before I felt him do something to me which made me fall into utter and complete darkness.

Shit.

What had I done?
