~Nicole's (POV)~

My dumbass is outside John's house right now. It's late, maybe two in the morning and I didn't have a key to his house so I went around back and found John's window and a small rock.

"Here goes nothing." I whispered to myself as I hit his window relieved when it hadn't shattered. I was about to throw another rock but then I saw John's head pop out from the curtains.

"What're you doing Nicole?" John asked holding back a smile.

"Come down here and you'll find out!" I said excitedly as I saw John shake his head but obviously heading his way out back. I waited a few minutes before I heard the sliding glass door open and him come out.

"Hey." John said with a weak smile. "I'm sorry that I said all that stuff about you..." John said as he tried to think of what to say next.

"It's okay, you're right about everything, and I'm gonna try and work on that, but for now I just wanted to apologize for running out."I said as I hooked my arms around his neck as I did I saw John struggling on what to say. "You don't need to say anything, it's alright. I do have a question though." I said with a small smirk.

"And that is?" John asked as his eyebrows raised at me.

"How cold do you think that water is?" I said while taking a glance at the pool.

"Pretty cold, the hot tub is probably better." John said as I nodded my head before taking off my shirt and pants. I saw John giving me a confused look. "What're you planning on doing?" John asked with a big smile I gave him one back as I jumped into the pool. As I came back to the surface I saw John smiling like a complete goof at me. "You're crazy." John said shaking his head.

"Well don't leave me hanging." I said as I motioned for him to come in.

"I don't feel like being cold." John said as I rolled my eyes at his response.

"Do you feel like getting a kiss?" I said without thinking I tried to backtrack but I said what I had said and John had already taken off his clothes and was ready to jump in too.

"Now we're talking!" John yelled as he jumped in making a huge splash. I screamed as he picked me up from underneath the water.

"Put me down!" I yelled while laughing, John thankfully put me down but kept his arms around me. "Can I ask you something?" I said looking into his eyes as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Anything." John said in his stupid low voice.

"Why'd you say I was your girlfriend at the diner? I just want the truth." I asked making John sigh.

"I wanted to protect you." He said while looking anywhere but my eyes.

"From what?" I asked softly turning his head to look at me.

"Everyone, all I could think about was that smoothie being dumped all over you, the rude comments, the papers being thrown at you. I couldn't let those people treat you like shit when you don't deserve it at all. I wasn't going to let them hurt you anymore." John explained as I saw his eyes were holding back tears which made my heart tug.

"John..." I trailed off as he shook his head.

"That's not all. If we're being honest with each other I had another sibling, a sister, her name was Michelle, she was 16 when she took her own life." I could hear John's voice waiver and the tears escaped his eyes, I tried my best to wipe them away. "It was because of all the assholes that made her feel like nothing, the guys that called her a slut, the girls that called her a bitch, the people that never helped, the teachers who ignored it. I swore if I could stop the pain for someone else I would, and when I saw the shit people were doing to you I couldn't just let it happen." John said which brought me to tears, we were both crying, something I didn't think would ever happen.

"John..." I said as my heart became heavy at all this information. "I'm so sorry." I said while John shook his head.

"Don't be you didn't know, but you deserve to know the truth about everything." John said while clearing his throat. "You also deserve to know that I care a lot about you, I'm not putting a label on what we are outside of the whole deal because I don't want you to get inside your head. But whatever happens between us beyond friends I'll be happy with." John said with a smile as my heart once again did that weird heavy thing.

"You're the best you know that?" I asked as John laughed but I meant it, I really did. He cared about me and that made me feel a certain type of way. "I love you're eyes." I said as I kept looking at them, once again John laughed and I smiled.

"Oh yeah?" John asked as I nodded trying to contain my smile. "Well I love your lips." John said as he just happened to bite his own. I looked down back into his eyes before I kissed him, it was slow but rushed, John must have been waiting for this as he let out a soft moan. I smiled into the kiss when I heard it, I'd never admit it but it excited me that he enjoyed it, it meant that he somewhat liked me. I decided to tease him by sliding off my bra straps, nothing was showing but I could tell he noticed.

"Shit." I whispered as John started kissing down my neck. "J- John..." I trailed off as he hummed letting me know to continue talking but it sent vibrations through my skin making it hard to. "We can't...we might get caught." I struggled to say as John finally pulled away from my neck.

"Who cares?" John said annoyed while squeezing my ass, something I'd never get used to. He was worked up, hell so was I, and neither of us wanted to stop but my common sense kicked in before his.

"What if Alexa is watching?" I asked, John didn't seem to mind the idea.

"If she talks we can deny it, and if she films it we can charge her, it's that simple." John said while he went back to kissing my neck.

"Can't we just go inside?" I asked John as he protested. "Please?" I said as John groaned before helping me out of the pool. "Thank you big guy." I said as he opened the door for me as he followed.

"Anything for you babygirl." John said seductively as he kissed me again.

"Stop it with that name." I said trying to hold myself back.

"Think I found your weakness." John said with a smirk as he winked at me before leading me to a guest room. He quickly shut the door locking it before looking at me and practically coming undone.

"I think you need to calm down." I said while chuckling before I traced John's stomach with my finger.

"Really?" John said with a devilish smile before plopping me down onto the bed.

"I think so." I said putting my knee up to John's chest as he hovered over me, he hung his head almost begging for my affection. "Come here goof." I said as he laid on top of me, it was kind of cute, he was so big and he was just laying on top of lil ole me. I hooked one leg around his torso and started playing with his hair.

"I'm horny." John mumbled as I laughed.

"Yeah but you're tired." I said as I noted him drifting off.

"Next time you come by make sure it's before midnight." John said as I rolled my eyes. "Goodnight doofus." I said while placing a kiss on his head.

"Night beautiful." John said as he kissed my chest, he smirked telling me he knew what he did, I just smiled as I tried to get some sleep alongside this goof who made my heart smile.
