this book is discontinued! thank u sm for reading it while it wasnt tho even tho im a terrible author  eheheheh anyways heres a scourge one i had   sitting aorunf for a while sfbgn

you padded through the alley with a sigh. you didn't want to be here, in this gross, rank smelling city. the stone was hard beneath your pads, twolegs were a hassle, and cats were constantly hissing at you for no reason.

these cats all had thin pelts and matted fur, rummaging in scrapcans for twoleg rubbish. it really unnerved you. i wish i could bring all these cats back with me to the clans, you thought sadly. but you knew you couldn't.

you were here to check on bloodclan. as much as it felt wrong, it felt right. the clans had torn these poor cats apart. couldn't they see that these cats were obviously manipulated by tigerstar, just like they had been?

even if they couldn't, you could. and you weren't going to rest until you knew these cats were safe.

you scanned the alleys for any large groups of cats or entryways, hoping you'd find something to lead you to the clan's camp. you smelled strong cat scent coming from a particular one, and when you went to investigate, some cat attacked you from behind.

hissing in shock, you whipped around and scratched your opponent's flank; however, the cat was much larger than you and kept his grip on you tight. you yowled in pain as he pinned you down. You could now see his dark ginger pelt and gleaming amber eyes.

"you smell like clan cat. what are you doing here?" he demanded.

"i-i'm here to make sure your clan is okay!" you squeaked out. he narrowed his eyes. then, he let out a mrow of amusement.

"ha. y'know what, i'll humor you. just because I find it that funny you think i believed a word of that."

he grabbed you by your scruff, and you didn't struggle, fear freezing you up. it was a very short walk to the camp, and neither of you said a word.

he dropped you roughly, and you stood, brushing off rubble. various cats turned to stare at you, and you curled your tail over your paws self-consciously.

cats of all kinds started to murmur to eachother, presumably about you. you heard one cat very loudly whisper, "i bet she's a spy. let's kill 'er on 'er way back home." he laughed. "that is, if scourge doesn't do it first."

scourge? you blinked. wasn't he the cat they announced dead at the battle? just as you thought this, a rustle could be heard in the bushes ahead, and a small black cat with one white paw emerged. his ice blue eyes glared harshly, and you shrank back at the sheer sight of him.

"oh, how curious. another one of these cats. why are you here?" he hissed scarily calmly.

"i-i'm sorry, s-sir. i j-just, didn't like the thought of beating you and l-leaving you to rot. i-it's the least we could do, r-right?" you were shaking, and your heart was beating.

he scowled. "we are NOT rotting. we are even stronger now that we know not to negotiate with selfish clan cats." he spat.

"i'm sorry. that was inappropriate language choice. i'm sorry for wasting your time. i-i'll leave." you spoke, but didn't move. you had a feeling they wouldn't like that.

the black cat flicked an ear, studying you, before smiling. "really? you can't stay a little longer?" he padded over to you.

"you seem quite different from other clan cats. i'd very much like to know you." he flicked his tail. "brick, you're in charge. we're going for a walk."

you blinked. we are? sure enough, he lead you out of camp and into the alleyways.

"it's strange that you would come. there are many suspicions i normally would have at this situation, but with you, i can tell that you are just genuinely this...nice." he said the word slowly, like it was foreign. he paused.

"listen, you should know, this kind of thing can get you killed. showing kindness is showing weakness."

you frowned. "i can't help it. what good am i if i don't do anything good?"

scourge blinked. he seemed genuinely surprised, and a bit thoughtful. soon after, his gaze went hard again.

"i don't... that doesn't make sense." he lashed his tail. "let's go back to camp. i hope you know we don't intend on you leaving tonight."

it was already sundown, and you weren't keen on walking around here alone at night, so you nodded. "p-please just show me where to sleep, and i will."

to your surprise, he led you to his den, the one he had left earlier. he had some cats make you a nest, and then he curled up, and you did the same.

when you woke up the next day, some cat was guarding you. you realized with a twinge of alarm it was the same cat that had attacked you in the alleyway.

thankfully, all he did was call for scourge and leave. the black tom smiled at you, and led you out to camp.
