This is your first day.

Your hands are calloused and your skin is sun-kissed. You're inexperienced yet bold, surviving in this world all alone and your only guide being your own intuition. You injure yourself within the first few minutes, you become hungry, and then suddenly the world is dimming around you.

Monstrosities emerge from around you, nocturnal creatures out for blood. Your heartbeat quickens and all you can do is burrow into the dirt and wait for the light of sunrise to pour through the cracks in your rushed safe haven.

You learn quickly, proof that this world has enraptured you. Its holds you tightly for the months or years to come, but you accept its embrace. You seek its embrace.

This is your first day.

You had lost all of your time and effort from before in a swarm of emotion. You had become neglectful to your farm, your animals, your pets that had proven time and time again they would die for you. The reason why you abandoned everything you had loved, for several years, was never made completely sure.

Maybe you were tired, maybe you were bored of your house, maybe you hated the way your precious dogs barked nonstop. But it was none of that. Instead, demons had infested your mind. They pushed you and hit you until you pushed away your favorite interest and hit the unforgivable button.

But you had defeated them awhile ago. You gathered your strength and returned. Your cobblestone house was gone, along with your twelve dogs, but they were with you in spirit in this place.

And this place was odd. It was the same, but everything seemed clearer. Had the leaves always been that thin? You could have sworn that they were thick, too dense to see through as you could now. A black bunny bounces past your wondering eyes. It was so small, maybe you had just missed it last time you were here?

You remember how to survive, for a survivor has these things embedded into them. But it seems as if you still have things to learn, things you missed before.

It's alright, you don't mind. Before broken out of the embrace, you wiggle yourself back. You had forgotten how perfectly you fit.

This is your first day.

The familiarity of it comforted you, the routine that was needed to survive those first nights almost became a welcome terror. But the best part is that every time it is something new, yet holding the same spirit that a natural adventurer such as yourself needed.

Life on this strange planet was like a cycle. Years were spent fawning over it, and then years were spent hiding it away for fear of hatred from those demons.

And now you were back, the fire brighter than ever. This time, you couldn't see yourself leaving. You couldn't see yourself walking away from your wood and cobblestone home, and off into the fog; simply because you were afraid of the demons who shouldn't hold any power over you. This time, you would stay with your dogs, and your cats, and your parrots. You would stay with your messy farm, with your two-story house with the bad spiral stairs, with your Nether Portal that made too much noise at night.

This is your first day, and you now know for certain it will not be your last.
