Casting Call (TOM HOLLAND)

Chapter 1-Atlanta Heat

So I should probably introduce myself. My name is Baylee Smith, I am 5'3 and I am 19 years old. I currently just got out of college and my degree I received is not really what I want to do, so I am trying out acting. One of my good friends, Ashleigh, saw an acting add downtown so she currently, as we speak, is begging me to go audition.
"Pleasseeee gooooo!!! I know you're going to kill it! This part looks perfect for you" Ash states. I roll my eyes. This girl knows me better than anyone, she's not related to me but she's pretty much a sister to me. After about 10 min of her trying to get me to go, I give in.
"If I go will you shut up about it?!" I state, trying to get her to be quiet about the audition.
"I will give it a try, but I can't guarantee I will even get a part." Some part of me honestly sort of wants it. It is a big movie after all and this would launch my acting career. Plus the audition is only about 20-25 min away from my house so it's not like i'll be wasting much gas. I read somewhere online that people come from all over the place to audition for these types of movies.
"You know I heard that some girls come in to just try and see the actors, they don't even really care about the parts, they are just desperate to see the cast. So who knows what type of people we will see" I laugh because I know some weird people might show up today. Ashleigh laughs with me partly because she knows I'm right. She knows I hate people like that.
Ash looks at me and glances at my outfit.
"Girl get dressed, the audition is in an hour!! I can help do your hair but you gotta find an outfit." I look down at my outfit and forgot I was wearing pjs from this morning.
"Oh right I probably shouldn't go out like this" So I go into my closet and grab jean shorts and a nice short sleeve shirt. I would dress nicer for the audition but the temperatures outside have been close to 100 degrees!!! Once I put my outfit on, Ashleigh helps with my hair. I decided to do a high ponytail but curl the ends. My hair isn't super long but when it's hot out I hate it being on my neck. Ashleigh is so good at doing hair and makeup so i just let her do it because she would know what would look best.
"God, I wish I had your hair. It's so beautiful." Ashleigh states.
"You could have hair like mine if you grew it out" I laugh at her and smile.
"Yeah I would but it's so freaking hot in the summer I just end up cutting it anyways" Ashleigh says.
"You do have a point. That is why in the summer I always put it up in a ponytail or a bun."
After she finishes my hair, I end up going downstairs to get some food before we leave. The worse thing for me to do is to get nervous on an empty stomach. I grab some chips and a PBJ sandwich because I am too lazy to make anything else.
I make Ashleigh drive because I wanted to eat in the car on the way there. I am almost not hungry because I am so nervous. I have grown up with the Avengers movies and watched them since I was 9. Ever since the first Iron Man came out, I was hooked on the series.
"Baylee eat slower or your going to choke and die before we even arrive" Ashleigh exclaimed!
"Oops sorry" I say with a mouthful of sandwich in my mouth.
We jam out to some music to help the ride go by faster. I realize that the car is reading the outside temperature at 91 degrees and it sure feels like it. I knew it was that hot out because Ashleigh's air conditioning doesn't normally get cold when it's hot out so we have to rolls the windows down. After about 20 minutes we finally arrive at the auditioning place.
"Do you even know where your going?" I ask her.
"Not really but i'll figure it out." She looks around trying to find out where to go.
"Oh gee maybe you should have used directions like I said earlier" I said teasingly.
She hates using directions because she claims she knows where everything is.
"You know I don't need your sarcasm okay? You just want me to say your right, but your not. BECAUSE I FOUND IT" She yells!
Sure enough we pull into a space with a sign saying AUDITIONS HELD HERE.
