~Mason Nicole's POV~

I squint my eyes at the piercing bright light shining through the curtains. I wobbled out of bed opening the curtains completely.

"Shit.." I turn away from the window. Soon my phone grumbled on the table. "Hello?"

"Wanna come watch Lou's football practice with me?" Ellie sounds fully awake.

"Ah-I had other plans."

"Like?"

"Hide in my room all day." I snicker.

"Nonsense! Come on, I can't sit on the bleachers by myself." I could feel her pouting.

"I'll be there at 12." I groan.

The only initial reason I go with her is to make fun of the players bums in those tight, tight pants. My dad taught me how to play when I was in my tomboy phase at 11, so I know the basic rules.

I pull on my dark blue, slightly ripped shorts and my white converse that match my white cropped tank top.

"Im going to hangout with Ellie" I yell to my mom who was paying attention to Ellen DeGeneres' talk show.

I walk towards the field at my school hearing a roaring of happiness. Many people love the football team and the boys on it. People always came to the first team pratice.

"Mason over here!" A familar voice interupt my thoughts as I walk towards the bleachers.

"Hey." I smile crookedly.

"You seem tired." El ignores my greeting.

"Thanks doll." I grit my teeth.

"Oh there's Louis!" She squeals, even when Lou's far away, I'm still a third wheeler.

"Jesus Christ..Nick's on the team?" I spit. His name echoes in my head, Nick. That asshole.

"Quarterback." She nonchalantly drinks her tea.

I'll admit I hadn't always disliked Nick, well not until around my sixteenth birthday party.

~FLASHBACK~

I walk through the crowd of people around the pool. Clumsily bumping into Nick Hosen, my first real boyfriend at 14, his orange soda and vanilla cake spilling onto his shirtless body.

"I'm so sorry-uhm I'll help you clean up." I hold his wrist walking towards the back door to the kitchen.

"It's okay Mas, don't panic." He smirks siting up on top of the island counter fixing his dirty blonde hair.

"I didn't mean to." I laugh in embarrassment turning to the sink with a sponge.

"Hey Mason."

"What?" I turn around and at an instant he dabs the frosting on my nose.

"Cute." He teases me.

"Oh my god, Hosen." I lift my hand up to wipe it off before his hand gently held mine down.

"I got it." Nick pulls his face closer to mine, taking full advantage to slide his tongue onto my nose. "Oh by the way, nice bikini."

"We sh-" My sentence was interrupted by Nick's lips bashing onto mine, I hesitate before syncing the movement of my lips with his.

"I know it's been two years. But I still feel the same." He smiles.

It was just a perfect moment. I thought he was just a perfect guy. His words wrapped around my heart like the warmest sweater ever. I know I sound ridiculous, I'm sixteen.
