He opened the car door for her as they arrived infront of her house, parked by the curb. They had a great date night, or so he thought.

"Just say it," she said as she stepped out of his car after pulling his coat off of her to cover her now cold shoulders.

"Say what?," he asked, with fake curiosity stretching across his face while he feels his body getting warmer, an indication that he'll be sweating in a little while for he feels guilty for losing the 'sparks' for his so-called 'loved one'.

"Say that you don't love me anymore," she commanded weakly, feeling her eyes flood with tears. She looks to the side, blinks and looks back at him, hoping to not let the tears fall.

She loves him. Present tense.
He loved her. Past fucking tense.

"I love you," he lies, his forehead now starts to form little beads of sweat along his hairline.

"Bullshit," she spits out. "I'm sorry, what?," he asks, quite surprised with her language. She doesn't usually curse, unless she's serious about it.

"You heard me, bullshit. You can lie your way onto my bed, you can lie your way into the fucking restaurant, but you can't say that to my face? What a coward," she scoffs, tears now slowly streaming down her face.

"Let's discuss this inside, shall we?," he offers, grabbing her arm and turns around to approach her apartment building's front door.

"What is there to discuss? The fact that you've grown tired of our relationship? The fact that you lied infront of my face instead of saying it? The fact that you know that it'll hurt so much more the longer you lie? If you're tired, then you should've left," she exclaims, unable to control her tears anymore.

"I'm sorry," he replies, feeling pity of the girl infront of her.

"Fuck that, we're over," she says, purposely bumping his shoulder as she walks as fast as she can into her apartment, making sure he doesn't follow her.

Although she hoped. She hopes that he followed her, drowning her in his arms and chest for a tight hug. She hopes that he didn't leave just yet. She hopes that he'll come knocking on her door, feeling guilty as he apologizes a billion times.

But he never did.
