Missing her was probably one of the things he wishes he never feels. He wants to be by her side. Not for a day, a week, a month, nor a year. He wants to be with her until their last breaths. And so here they are, both in their rocking chairs, hand in hand as they watch their grandchildren run around and have fun. He looked at her, the way he looked at her with love, the way he looked at her decades ago.
