Joanna just move to a small town called Merryville because her dad got a new job at a small job at the town auto body shop. After both Joanna and her dad went through the lost of Joanna's mom it's been a tough year for them. They lost there home in California, Joanna's dad lost his job and they needed money for Joanna's school and for the rent for the temporary apartment they were staying in. Finally Joanna's dad got a job in Merryville, but Joanna had to transfer schools and it was already the middle of first semester. Joanna's best friend aria lived in Cali, but after hearing about her moving to Merryville she was devastated. Tommorow was her first day at Merryville high school and she was really nerves.
