Joanna's dad kissed her goodbye and waved as Joanna walked in. Joanna went straight to the office to talk to the administrator, but as soon as she walked up to the desk she heard and squeal from behind her.

Joanna already knew who it was. Lucy Cally, her and Joanna had been best friends since the first grade, but that changed when Lucy moved from Cali two years ago.
