This one is based on my own gaming experience. I don't know that you can raise the spirit's affection by summoning them for battle often, and i love summoning Rempo because he is awesome, he is that hot headed and loyal friend you can always count on. I rejected his confession because i have always taken a liking on Ur, i'm sorry, i only think of you as a best friend-

He was the first one she met, the one who guide her, and the one who was there from the very first beginning. He had known her longer than his friend, So why is it that she chose that lightning spirit instead of him? Him, the one who sticks by her side from the start?
Love is a complicated thing. One moment, it gives you happiness, then the next thing you know, it gives you sadness. Spirits and humans are two different individual beings, not all humans can see them, so romantic relationship between them are rather strange, weird, maybe even forbidden, since there has never been a relationship formed between humans and spirits.
Rempo however, found himself in a difficult situation. He had fallen for Tia, the chosen one, the hero. From their very first meeting, he knew that she's different, special.
He love how determined and kind hearted she is. At first, he was surprised when he saw that the chosen one is a human girl. Rempo usually hate human girls, for he can't stand their peppy, spoiled personality.
Tia however, is different.
She never give up in any situation, she keep moving forward. When everyone in the village accused her for bringing chaos with dark magic, she doesn't cry and weep. Instead, she does all she can to prove her innocence.
And when those people come and ask for Tia's protection, she obliged it. Even after being shunned away like that, she doesn't hold any grudge.
Such a beautiful person she is.. both outside and inside.
Whenever she's around, his heart suddenly got warmer, evem though he is the guardian spirit of fire. He worries for her often even though himself is rather careless.
He really has fallen in love with her, the chosen one.
But when he was debating on how he can tell her his feelings, he found out a discovery that makes his heart wrench. An unknown, unfamiliar feeling to him, it was something he never experienced before.
How he wish he'll never experience that.
The chosen one apparently hold feelings for the lightning spirit Ur, and what's worse is that he returned her feelings.
Well, it's not surprising, since Tia is like one whole complete package. Kind hearted, smart, humble, and beautiful. No wonder many boys hold feelings for her.. including Ur, his friend.
He saw them confessing their love to each other's with his own eyes. The scene that he see in front of his eyes keep showing on his mind, repeating it over and over again. He can't seem to forget it.
Sure, Ur is an intelligent, mature, and calm man, the ideal type that every lady could ever dream of. But Rempo is sure that himself has good qualities.. one that Ur lacks. For example, he has always been the fun and wild type, while Ur is rather bland and boring with his serious personality.
He frowns, dissapointed with the choice Tia did, but shrug after that, acting like he doesn't care in order to hide the hurt feelings on his heart.
"Well, she has a rather dull taste in men, i guess.. Obviously, I'm much better than Ur, hmmph!" The fire spirit cross his arms.
But looking back at the two, he notice how happy the two are. It's not the right thing to do to feel envious of his own friend's happiness, of his beloved girl's happiness. He shouldn't feel envious of Ur, and he can't blame Tia for choosing. She does has her own type and preference, everyone does.
With a bitter smile plastered on the fire spirit's face, he let out a sigh as he watch Ur and Tia are embracing each other's.
"Even if she's not mine to keep, i'll always love, and care for her. I'll always protect and help her. I'll always by her side, as her fire guardian, even if she never see me in such way."
