Thalia felt the gun jolt backwards as she put a bullet through Alex's chest.
Miro visibly jumped and the other two men whipped their guns up at her, but Thalia didn't give them a second glance.

"Now get back to work and stop wasting my time." She barked. Alex was looking at his now blood soaked shirt, seeming to not comprehend it. As the men watched, his head drooped to his wet chest, no longer moving. Their weapons slowly fell to their sides as they realized she was on their team.

"Get back to work." Thalia prompted Miro with cold malice.
Miro looked at her with surprise, not having expected the tiny visitor to be so blood thirsty. "Okay." He said, taken aback. "Back to work."

As Miro turned to go back to wherever he'd been, Thalia brought her gun up quickly and shot him in the back of the head at the same time her left hand slashed upwards and behind her with her knife, stabbing the tall man in the chest. Before the smoker could understand what was going on, she swung her gun around and shot him twice in the chest.

With horror, Thalia watched him splutter his last blood filled breath, and then she fell down with the tall man as she tried to yank her knife out of his chest.
"Ow!" She yelped as she landed on the man, her knife wedged between the man's clavicle and his upper ribs.

"Alex!" She cried, running over to him. "Alex, are you okay?" She demanded, her hands on his cheeks.
Alex blinked at her, dazed as he lifted his head. "You shot me."

"In the trapezius." Thalia said, pulling out her medical kit. "I figured it would look like I was aiming for your heart, without actually killing you." She pulled out a wad of bandages and stuffed them under the edge of his shoulder holster. "Right through the strap." She said, a little proud of her marksmanship.

"Let me out." Alex strained against his cuffs. "That one has the key." He said, nodding to Miro.
Thalia went over to Miro's prostrate body, avoiding looking at his head. She patted him down and found the key in his back pocket. She quickly loosened Alex's cuffs and he pulled his knife out to slice through the zip ties.

"How did you know he was the Bulgarian?" Alex asked, standing up.
Thalia shook her head. "I'm an amazing spy." She joked. "I found a map." She told him. "And I think I found addresses. I took a bunch of pictures."
Alex nodded, wincing as he put his hand to his shoulder.

"I'm sorry." Thalia said sincerely. "I can give you a shot." She patted her medical kit. He was going to need better medical attention soon. The twenty two probably hadn't done much damage, and the trapezius, a muscle just north of the collarbone shouldn't slow him down, but it was still a fresh and bleeding wound.

Alex held his hands up in surrender. "I think you've given me enough shots today." He smiled despite the pain. "We better get out of here."
"Let's go this way." Thalia gestured to the direction she'd come from. "I didn't see anyone on my way in."

"I got eight people on my way in." Alex said, following her. "Hopefully there's no one left."
Thalia led Alex back to the door she'd come through. "Fuck. That's one of them." Alex eyed one of the large machines she had passed. Thalia looked at it, realizing there was a bomb on a table in front of it. "Should we disarm it?" He asked, pulling his penlight from his pocket.

"Do you know how?" Thalia asked, making a wide berth around the weapon.
Alex hesitated. "No, I guess not." He admitted, snapping a few pictures of it. "We should be able to give the agency and the politsiya enough information now anyway."

"Then let's go." Thalia grabbed his wrist and they made their way past the meeting room. "There was a door down this way." She told him, remembering the layout she'd observed. "We should be able to get out easily." She held her gun up and took a deep breath as they approached the door.
