Prompt: Your character goes outside on a clear night. Looking up, they see a bright falling star streak across the sky. What wish do they make? Write the scene.
"Carter look!" The girl let out an excited squeal, pulling her partner with one hand and pointing to the clear sky with the other. The mentioned male felt a smile make its way to his face, her happiness was contagious. Carter looked up at the starry night sky, a foggy breath leaving him as he took in the beauty of it. Of course it couldn't rival what he saw in her, his hand giving hers a small squeeze.
"It's so pretty, right?" She turned to look at him, his heartbeat quickening everytime he saw her smile. The freckled boy could just stare at her for hours, counting the things he loved about her, and it wouldn't be enough time. Seeing his goofy smile she laughed softly, sitting down in the grass and pulling him down with her.
"You're doing it again." The girl pointed out, laying down to stare up at the bright stars. Carter let out a chuckle, laying down next to her.
"I can't help it, you're too precious Alice." He retorted, a smooth response however his reddened face made it quite obvious he was embarrassed. Alice felt her cheeks warm up, though the smile she had never faded.
"You're so cheesy!" She shot back, facing him. Her green irises staring straight into his hazel ones. Hands reconnected they looked back to the sky, enjoying each others silent company. After a few moments Alice let out a gasp, Carter turned to look when it had pulled him out of his wandering thoughts.
"A shooting star!" She gleefully said, indeed a bright line crossed the sky. "Make a wish!" Alice grinned, closing her own eyes in order to do so herself. Carter closed his eyes for a moment, knowing full well he was going to be asked.
"Whatcha wish for?" Alice looked at him, eyes glowing with anticipation. With a simple smile from him he responded.
"More time with you."
