Finding Something True Tom Hiddleston x Reader

*Y/n pov*

The man didn't smile back and I could tell it was all business now. Tom and Tom both left in shock. "What's going on?" I heard Hiddles whisper to Tom. I simply ignored him and kept my eyes on the two men.

After a minute of death staring each other the tall man spoke "What are you doing here Y/N?" He asked "Nothing" I replied. Tom and Tom looked at each other a little scared "Well if it's nothing then why don't you leave?" The other man said "Excuse me?" I said "I can be here if I want." I took the keys out and shoved them in my pocket, then sat there with my arms folded "Y/N don't be a child" The tall man said "Don't be a child?! How am I being a child?! The only child here is you, Jake, you're a child, not me" I looked at him and you could see the smoke fuming out of me. I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked over and it was Hiddles. He had a slight smile on his face that managed to calm me down.

"Anyways, heard you were back to your high school habits" I said with a little attitude "How did..." I cut him off "You mugged 2 actors Jake, and one happened to be my date tonight" I felt the fumes come back and this time Tom wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Jake stood there "I.. I didn't know they were.. I just wanted their money.." he said "Get a fucking job if you want money" I clapped back. No going back now.. "you know how hard it is to find a job for someone who was in jail for a year?" He asked "It's not that hard! You and Kaden can find a bunch of jobs, but you decide not to.. you take the easy way and steal, thats not good especially when it's two very famous actors." I answered quickly "You know they can press charges on both of you and you'll end back in jail" I said "Please dont.. we don't want to go back" Kaden pleaded "that's not up to me" I looked at Tom and Tom. "We won't press charges of you give back everything you stole from us" Hiddles shot out quickly "O..okay" Kaden ran to the house and for everything they stole from them and came back outside "Here" he said putting out his hands filled with their things. "Thank you" Hiddles and Holland said at the same time.

Once they got their things back I looked at Jake  and saw the annoyance on his face"Be glad you got out of this one, asshat" I said "whatever, go away" he said. I started the car and looked at him "get a job dickwad" and drove away.

We got through a few blocks in complete silence, that was until Tom Holland decided to break it "How did you know them?.." he asked. "Jake and I.." I cleared my throat "we used to date back in High school..." I said. I felt Hiddles looking at me but I just kept my eyes on the road "we dated for 5 years... I knew he mugged people but he always treated me good.. never once did he disrespect me.." I continued. "So what happened?" Hiddles asked "I mean you don't have to tell me if you don't want to" he said again. " No it's okay... umm... well.. Jake cheated on me.. with one of my best friends actually" I held back a tear and I could tell Hiddles sensed my sadness "are you okay?.." he asked "I'm fine" it took a lot of effort to put on a fake smile and look at him "I'm perfectly fine" I said again "Okay" he smiled. I looked back at the road and kept driving.

We dropped Tiny Tom off at his hotel and then drove back to my place. Once we were at my house Tom looked at me "So it's late and my dinner reservations are cancelled.. how about we do something else.. that is if it's okay with you" he said "Thats perfectly okay with me" I smiled
