"Gotta be quicker than that." Charlotte mimicked the man from the tv while making the (very) important papers fly just outside of Jasper's grasp.
"C'mon! Just let me have them!" Jasper was getting annoyed but was amused at the same time.
"Hmm... How about I give you the papers but you have to watch a chick flick with me... and rub my shoulders." Charlotte grinned slyly, slipping back into faerie habits.
"Hmm... That sounds promising and slightly in your favor." Jasper pretended to think about it for a second. "Anything but the Notebook."
"Okay. Titanic it is." Charlotte dashed away, letting the wind drop the papers Jasper wanted. He watched Charlotte's tiny figure dart around getting blankets and the movie set up. Jasper thought of how lucky he was but also how much nice Charlotte looked in his sweatshirt; only his sweatshirt. It was long enough that it covered until mid thigh but short enough to give Jasper chest pains. But he felt lucky. Lucky to have someone that understands him and is someone that isn't so serious. But even more lucky that the girl he was so in love with made it; she lived despite what everyone thought. Literally everyone. She took him to Faerie, acting as his guide, and literally interrupted her own funeral.
The rolling hills seemed to stretch on forever, in lush green grass grew wild flowers that were colors Jasper had never seen before. All he wanted to do was go explore the fields and see where they take him, or maybe take a swim in the lake. The woods also seemed inviting with it's birds chirping and sunlight seeping through the trees.
"Jasper don't let go of my hand or you could get lost forever. Don't wander off." Charlotte reminded gently. She seemed to be aware of the fact Jasper looked like he was in a daze. Maybe bringing him was a bad idea. Charlotte shrugged off the thoughts pulling Jasper along to the marble building.
"Charlotte was an asshole. She always played really good pranks on me and for that she was an asshole. But a lovable asshole. One that no matter how much they fuck with your mind and harass you, you just can't help but loving. She was an ass, but she was also one of my best friends. And she- SHE'S RIGHT THERE"
Jasper chuckled at the memory. Charlotte looked up confused as to why Jasper was laughing when he hadn't said a word in five minutes. She was done setting everything up and waiting for him patiently to come sit with her. Jasper plopped down on the couch pulling Charlotte into his chest and rubbed small circled into her back.
Charlotte didn't pay that much attention to the movie, but more to Jasper and his presence. She treated every second like a gift, because in her mind it was. She was dead, gone from this world but a thousandth of a second kept her tethered to this world for the rest of eternity. The tree was in fact destroyed along with Terrae. From what Charlotte heard she was locked up and a epidemic fey compelled her to commit suicide. Not the most fair way to go but it was better than the other idea of injecting her with the Dragonash sap.
The soothing circles being rubbed into her back and the comfortable position she was laying with Jasper made her want to sleep. Even though she couldn't fall asleep, she wished she could so badly.
"I love you Jaz." Charlotte whispered into Jasper's neck.
"I love you more." Jasper whispered back, his eyes closed enjoying this moment.
"No love for me?" Emmett pouted from the doorway sickened by the romantic fluff going on.
"No fuck you Em." Jasper chuckled still not opening his eyes. Emmett's pout deepened and a small scowl spread across his face. He stomped over to the couple laying on Jasper's couch and laid on top of them both.
Charlotte squirmed under the large man in top of her. "Emmett ya big oaf."
"Way to kill the moment dude." Jasper hissed.
"We both know I saved this 'moment'".
"Piss off."
"FINE YOU DICK." Emmett yelled running out of the room.
"Isn't he just a peach?" Jasper whispered in Charlotte's ear who couldn't control her giggles. This was defiantly a time worth living for. No matter how bad the pain was reattaching into her body, this was worth it.
