Jaz's POV
Nawala lahat ng negative energy sa katawan ko nang masabi ko 'yon kay Ethan. Kaya pagdating ko sa condo ko ay natural na ang aura ko.
"It almost 5pm babe," salubong sakin ni Zi sabay dampi sa labi ko. Kinuha nya ang dala kong paper bag saka ako inalalayan paupo sa sofa.
"I'm glad your here. Akala ko one week tayong hindi magkakasama." Hinubad ko ang shoes ko saka sinuot ang tsinelas na inabot nya.
"I won't allow that. You know me,I have my ways to be with you lalo na kapag sobrang miss kita." Ngumiti sya sakin bago tumungo sa kusina.
"Anong oras uwi mo,babe?" Tanong ko habang linalagay sa shoe rack ang sapatos na hinubad ko.
Pumasok ako sa kwarto ko tsaka nagpalit nang t-shirt at pajama. Saka ako umupo sa silyang nasa harap ng kitchen counter.
"I will stay." Proud na sabi nya habang isa-isang linalapag sa harap ko ang pagkain.
Zi is a very sweet man. Seryosong tignan pero napakacaring kasama. I felt special whenever I'm with him. He's easy to be with and easy to read.
Kumuha ako ng kutsara at tinikman yung seafoods kari-kari na rinekomenda nung kumag. "It taste good but Mama's recipe is better." Tumango sya sakin. "What you said is obviously a good news. Now,care to state the bad one?"
Kita ko ang pagitla nya sa sinabi ko. Whenever he has a good news, I know he also has a bad one. They always come together whenever their from his mouth. Bumuntong hininga sya saka umupo sa silya sa tabi ko.
"Can we just talk about it later? After we eat? I'm starving so please?" Bakas na bakas ang pag-aalala sa mga mata nya. I bite my lip and nod. How bad that news could be?
Nasa kalagitnaan na kami nang pagkain nung isatinig ko ang laman ng isip ko."Marriage?"
Mula sa gilid ng mata ko ay nakita ko ang paglingon nya sakin pero nagpatuloy lang ako sa pagsubo.
"No. It's too early for that. Dad promise me three years more."
We became step siblings because MY dad married HIS mom and we are bind by law as siblings.
My parents aren't married kaya naging madali lang ang lahat kay daddy. Forever isn't real. I'm not being bitter here, I and Zion were inlove but not for forever.
Our relationship is forbidden and temporary just like how my parents love is. My daddy is into his business. His list of priorities from number 1-98 is business, 99 is me and 100 is my mom. Nagsawa si mama sa klase ng relasyon na meron sila kaya pinili nyang lumayo kay daddy and me? Dahil mas may kakayahan si daddy na buhayin ako kaya sa kanya binigay ang custody sakin.
I'm 20 and by next year at my birthday,I will be formally introduce to my fiancee. And three years after is the wedding. Ganon din si Zion,he's a year older than me.
Next month is his birthday and I'm preparing myself for that day. It might ruin me but I need to stay still and be strong.
"Hey babe," untag sakin ni Zion. Hindi ako kumibo,huminga ako ng malalim saka tumayo para ligpitin ang pinagkainan ko.
My dad and his mom was never in love with each other. They were just both greedy. They use each other to reach their selfish heart's desire.
"Mom told me…" napahinto ako sa paglalakad at namayani ang kaba sa dibdib ko. "My soon to be fiancee will arrive tomorrow morning. She asked me to fetch her and we'll have family lunch after."
"Napaaga ata? Isang buwan pa bago ang birthday mo." Nanginginig ang kamay na binitawan ko ang plato sa sink.
I tried very hard to calm myself. Ramdam ko ang pangingilid ng luha ko. I thought I'm ready but I'm not.
Ilang beses akong lumunok para pigilan ang pagluha ko pero hindi ako nagtagumpay. Naramdaman ko ang pagyakap ni Zion sakin mula sa likod ko habang patuloy sa pag-agos ang luha ko.
"Just tell me not to come and I will not leave you,"malambing na bulong ni Zion. Kinagat ko ang labi ko para mapigilan ang paghikbi ko.
Ayokong pumunta sya pero wala akong karapatang suwayin ang mga taong nagpapakain at bumubuhay samin.
Sabi nga ni daddy, they were doing these for our own good. Oh parents,they always know what's good even the best for their children. But they missed to know that several times the best doesn't always makes us happy.
"You need to go babe. Maghihinala sila na may girlfriend ka na kapag hindi ka nagpakita. And when they doubt,they will surely investigate and would eventually find out about us."
Nang makalma ko ang sarili ko ay pinunasan ko ang luha ko,humarap ako sa kanya at dinampian sya ng halik sa labi.
"Just always keep your promise huh?" Nakangiting sabi ko. Tumango sya saka hinalikan ako. It was sweet and gentle and it leave me breathless.
"I will babe." Ngumisi sya at halos mapasigaw ako nang buhatin nya ako. Iniupo nya ako sa sofa. "Just wait there,liligpitin ko lang yung pinagkainan natin. I will turn that pinkish lips of yours into red." He winked na syang ikinatawa ko.
I'm still worried about what will happen tomorrow but I tried to be positive.
I will enjoy this moment and every memories we will make while we still own each other.
