"Sometimes it's hard."

"So, where shall we go first?" Blake asked, jumping off the wall.

"Well we could look around a couple of shops and then get something to eat somewhere?" George suggested and Blake nodded grabbing George's hand again. George looked at him for a second before taking his hand out of Blake's. Blake looked down at George who looked away.

"I'm sorry B. I'm not out to anyone except Reece and Elliot yet."

"I forgot about that! I didn't even know you were bi. Why did you tell them and not me?" Blake asked, slightly hurt but not showing it.

"Cause I didn't want anything to ruin our friendship. We're not as close as I want to be and I didn't want to risk telling you and... and you not accepting me." George said quietly.

"Of course I would have accepted you! You're my best friend and I'm gay so you needn't have worried. But I won't hold your hand in public if it makes you worry. I would never out you if you didn't want to be outed." Blake said and George smiled gratefully. The walked towards the shopping centre, George laughing at Blake. He had never realised how funny Blake was and he wished they had been closer before. Well, at least they would get closer now as they were on a date. Or George thought it was a date but he didn't really know.

They chatted for a while, realising how little they knew about each other. They went into a small cafe and Blake got a coffee and George got a hot chocolate. They were waiting for their drinks when George spoke.

"B, you said that you were struggling to cope. Is this true?" The happy mood that was surrounding the boys suddenly disappeared and the conversation turned serious.

"Um, yeah, sometimes it hard." Blake muttered and George leant across the table to grab Blake's hand and he intertwined their hands.

"You need to tell me if you feel like that. It's my responsibility as your friend and the random guy you met on a dating app," Blake chuckled a little," to make sure you're alright and not struggling. I don't want you to feel like that." George said and Blake nodded at him, tears in his eyes because he hated talking about it and George was being so nice. George squeezed his hand tightly and Blake smiled.

Their drinks were brought to their table and Blake smiled at the waiter who was a young boy a couple of years older than them. The waiter smiled back and winked. George felt a sudden wave of jealousy and grabbed Blake's hand again, as if marking his territory. Blake looked at him, slightly confused by the sudden movement but George just blushed. The waiter left and Blake grinned at George.

"Were you feeling a little jealous there Georgie?" Blake smirked while George went even redder.

"No." was all George said but he was obviously lying as he blushed even harder than before, ducking his head slightly to hide his blush. Blake laughed at him.

"You were, and you look cute when you blush so don't hide it." George looked back up at Blake, blushing harder. "That's better." Blake said and they both smiled at each other. They went quiet and George took a sip from his drink. He looked at Blake and noticed Blake already staring at him so he blushed even darker than he already was, causing Blake to let out a little giggle. George smiled at how cute Blake sounded and they both sat there, being awkwardly cute.

"Um Blake?" George asked quietly and Blake looked at the smaller boy, waiting for him to speak. "I know this is kinda rushed but like we've known each other for ages and stuff." George paused, taking a deep breath before blurting out. "Will you be my boyfriend?" There was a deafening silence that lasted for ages in George's head but in reality only lasted 3 seconds as Blake leant forward to kiss George across the table. As they pulled away, Blake nodded.

"Of course I will!" Blake said excitedly and George leant in to kiss him again. It was a short but sweet kiss that ended quickly because both of the boys were smiling.

They finished their drinks and got up to leave the cafe. George insisted on paying and Blake let him, after George said he could pay next time. This made Blake happy that there was gonna be next time.
