"So, you're a vampire now, huh? Well, I don't want you." Theo confessed. "According to the book History of Vampires, They are just demons trap in the ways of killing even the most innocent humans. You have the ability to kill your own family now!"
"You're not a witch like me anymore are you?" Cari asked. Her voice was shaking. "How are we supposed to be twins if we grow apart more and more like this?"

The words echoed in Kara's mind as she tossed and turned in her own sweat. The thought of who she might and probably has already become killed her like Celeste did. How could Kara ever recover from the image she has put in everyone's mind? The sound of blood dripping and magic hovering in hands ached in her body. The only thing that could wake her up was the touch of someone shaking her.
"Kara? Kara wake up." The voice of Adam was heard moments after Kara's awakening. "Are you ok? I could hear you mumbling from my room." He whispered just quiet enough for Cari not to hear.
"Yeah, i'm fine. What time is it?"
"4:30." Kara took a look at the window which looked completely dark. She sighed, hoping he hadn't thought she had changed as well. "Do you need a drink or something?"
Adam helped her from the bed and sat her down on the counter of the kitchen where Kara usually liked to sit. He remembered. He brought her a cup of milk from the fridge just like she had asked. Kara felt suspicious as to why he was being so nice. First, Adam was horrid; killing her parents and almost her at the party, then he was absent for most of Kara's stay.
"How could you hear me and no one else?" Kara wondered looking at her drink before taking a sip. It was a genuine question not meant to sound interrogating, but her tone came across that way. The cold of the beverage helped Kara defend her body from the sweat that had consumed her in her sleep. Adam took a moment before answering. Instead, he took out a hot pocket and put it in the microwave. The beeping sound shook Kara's core. The high pitch dove deep into her brain. Adam smirk a little noticing her face crinkle every time he pressed a button.
"I have some friends on the vampire side of the supernatural creatures, if you wanna meet them." That's not what she asked.
"Why would I wanna meet more monsters."
"They could teach you things about your new self. Things a book can't teach you." He must have saw the book lying open on Kara's bedroom floor. She didn't know what he was up to, still Kara had a feeling it wasn't good.
"You're enjoying this, aren't you? I'm not even close to human anymore and you're eating it up."
"What if I am? Nothing's gonna come out of my pleasure." I put down the cup. It wasn't helping my blood craving anyway. He stepped away from the microwave and closer to me.
"You are correct about that. Just like how i'm correct about never going to see whomever those pesky vampire are that you know." I was between Adam's hands that were rested on the counter now.
"Oh they'll come soon enough. Whether you like it or not."
"Just like your powers?" Just as the machine rang. Beep! Beep! Beep! Kara's ears rang while she hollered an 'ow'. They both heard footsteps other than Adam's to the microwave once more. Celeste popped out from the shadows. Kara didn't find her presences amusing. Celeste pulled out a chair from the table close to the dining room.
"Can I find somewhere else to sleep besides the book worm I have now?" Kara scoffed. She didn't like how Celeste talked about Theo like that. He was just being himself.
"It's only for room, Cel." Adam admitted.
"Yeah, you'll be gone soon enough. Don't worry." The words were sour coming from her mouth. Usually Kara would just stay quiet in front of someone she didn't like. Of course, with Adam as an exception since he could take her beatings, However, Kara wasn't always one to cause trouble.
"Obviously someone pissed in your Cheerios." Celeste crossed her arms waiting for an answer. Nothing came out of Kara just a spiteful look. Celeste turned to look at Adam. She had a passionate glare towards him. "So, you haven't told me why I am brought to this place. Why your little friend wants me so bad."
Adam seemed somewhat uneasy from the body language Celeste pushed off to him. Her limbs flowed as if she were underwater. Her eyes gleamed as if they were stars. Kara hated it.
"I owe Kara a favor for -um- killing her parents." Kara still remained silent, watching the affection go down.
"Why did you kill them in the first place?" Adam gulped. So, did Kara. Out of everything that had happened in this whole time of being around Adam, she had never thought to ask why he did it. Kara always thought it was out of cold-blood blindsight. That he only wanted to have a thrill. She never thought to confirm that theory. Celeste put them in for a ride. "If you don't tell me, I can read it from your mind." He waited a moment, just to call her bluff. She leisurely pulled her hands up to his forehead, putting each thumb in the very middle. Then, Celeste closed her eyes. A gold glow started to form which Adam didn't seem to mind. He didn't look stressed at all. The light shined bigger gradually, until Celeste let go of his brain's grasp. "Oh my god! You are one bad man. Fine, i'll help her. But only if you tell her why you did what you did." It was all about power, right?
She made her way out of the kitchen with one last sneer.
