⚜Chapter 4⚜

You walked alongside Alucard, whilst Sypha and Trevor were in front of you. You felt a little nervous and snuck some glances at Alucard. He was, of course taller than you.

"Alucard." You whispered, unintentionally getting the man's attention.

"Yes, (y/n)?" He looked down at you, waiting for an answer. You turned your head to him, staring into his golden eyes.

"Oh sorry! I was just thinking out loud and accidentally said your name." It wasn't a lie. Alucard raised an eyebrow, not fully convinced of your words.

"Something's bothering you. Mind if I ask what?" He kept his gaze on you. You turned away, trying to ignore him but felt his hand grip yours. You were debating whenever you should tell him or not. Thankfully, Sypha broke the tension.

"Get ready!" She held her hands up. You looked up, seeing four demons rush towards you. You had your hands in fists. You just stood your ground while the rest charged. One of the demons charged at you, snarling. You swung at its face and brought it to the ground. You took your sword out and cut its head off.

The others seem to be struggling with them. These were the exact demons who disturb you at your so you were kinda used to them. You rushed in to help them. Sypha made a wall of ice and brought it up right through one of the demons, cutting it in half.

Trevor was whipping one furiously, sometimes even stabbing it with his dagger. Alucard was slashing one with his sword. One of the demons fighting Trevor took notice of you and swung it's claws at you. You felt it scratch your arm. You stabbed it through the top of its head, swinging it around and putting it aside. Alucard finished one off by stabbing its chest.

The vines came in without warning and gripped the demons, dragging them deep into the forest.

"Heh. You're a really strong woman, you know that?" Trevor put his whip away. You smiled a tiny bit at his comment.

"I wouldn't say I'm that strong-"

"Oh, but you are!" Sypha jumped in, agreeing with Trevor. You glanced at Alucard for his answer. He just nodded and kept walking. You sighed and followed them. You stared down at your hands, watching as a faint aura of (f/c) surrounded your hands. You slowly closed them and the aura was glowing stronger.

You shivered at the thought of the aura, not fully knowing what it meant. You've tried to get info from books but found nothing. You couldn't ask anyone, either. You just hoped someone knew. You don't know what kind of power you have but it was really helpful against demonic forces.

You reached in your pocket and pulled out a necklace. It was shiny as the silver shone beneath the moon. It had a star in the middle. This once belonged to Lisa.

"Lisa!" You yelled, climbing on the stand as the fire made its way to your mentor/friend. She gave you a sympathetic glance and ripped off her necklace. She used all her remaining strength to throw the jewelry at you. You caught it quickly, staring at it and placed in your dress.

You were in front of her, a horrified expression on your face. You moved some wood away so you can get closer but the flames were getting stronger. You felt two hands grab your arms and pulled you away from your friend. You squirmed in the man's grip but alas, he was too strong. He forced you to watch your friend burn.

"You can have my necklace. As a reminder that I'll always be with you every step of the way." You heard Lisa's thoughts. Lisa fell limp. You felt tears fall down your face, sobbing at the thought of your only friend gone forever.

The tears left your eyes and dropped on the necklace. You smiled at the thought of Lisa. She was the only woman who saw past everything and became your friend. You put the necklace around your neck and looked up.

"Thank you. For being my friend." You whispered.

"We'll rest here." Alucard brought you out of your thoughts.

"I just need to clear my mind." You walked into the forest.

"Alright but please hurry back." Sypha watched you walk in.

"I'm worried about her." She furrowed her eyebrows.

"There's nothing to worry about. She's fine on her own." Trevor shrugged his shoulders.

"You have a point, Belmont. She's capable of protecting herself." Alucard stared at the entrance in which you went through. Sypha wasn't as convinced.

You stared at the starry night, watching the stars shine bright. You heard some footsteps from behind. Your hand hovered over your sword. A demon with wings flew towards you. You took your sword out and started to fight it. It growled and slapped its tail towards you. You gasped as it hit you into a tree. It ran towards you and hit your head with its claws.

Your vision started to fade into darkness. You felt yourself get lifted upwards and the winds on your skin and in your hair. You were far too weak to fight back. You slowly closed your eyes, you head hanging down.
