"You tell me you love me, well tell me again
I need the reassurance every now and then
Love ain't a game full of X's and O's
But I done been played before, I played it safe before
Gave it up to somebody who didn't deserve my body
You gon' have to lend a shoulder, help me kill this hangover
I believe your love for me exceeds the needs
And you gon' take responsibilities
On my healing, how I'm feeling
Don't go trading years that we put in
So hold on, hold on, don't let me go"

"Oops." I laughed at my clumsiness after almost tripping up the stairs. I had a bit too much to drink tonight, but the drinks were the only thing to calm Zoo back down after Brit and Prince left. He even called and threatened her if she didn't go straight home. I came out to have fun, not sit and sulk over the next person's relationship. As much as Prince gets under my skin, I still don't mind him getting close to Brit. I know for a fact my cousin knows how to handle herself and that's why I warned Prince and not the other way around.
I stumbled into my room and carefully navigated my way to my bathroom in the dark. I don't know if Chas is in my bed or not so I don't want to risk waking her up. I quickly stripped out of my clothes once I got into the bathroom and cut on the shower. Hopefully this hot water will sober me up a bit. Fifteen minutes later I was climbing out the shower feeling completely refreshed. I could still feel the buzz of the alcohol, but I'm more aware of my surroundings now.
"Oh, shit! Chance, you scared me." I clutched the towel against my chest while trying to get my breathing back on track. Chance is sitting at my vanity watching me like an entire creep.
"How was your night?" He questioned like him being a creep is normal.
"It was good. Definitely will be a while before I spend a night out again, but I'm glad to have been able to get out."
"Come here." I walked over to him and stood in between his legs. I placed my hands on each side of his face and began to slowly caress his cheek and temple while looking into his eyes. I really love Chance, and although I know this rebuilding process with him is going to be a long one I'm willing to really try placing the pieces back together this time.
"Were you waiting up all night for me?"
"Hell yeah. Chas was all in my ear talking about 'mommy don't stay out this long' and you weren't answering your phone on top of that." I laughed and leaned down to kiss him. "Liquor all on your damn breath." I pushed away from him and walked over to the sink to brush my teeth.
"Chas usually waits up for me when I do my counts on Sunday, but I'm usually home by ten thirty." I told him before going through my oral hygiene steps. Once I was finished I turned around and leaned against the counter.
"What's that look for?" He questioned.
"I'm going to have a dinner here on Christmas Eve. I want you to invite Paris. I want us to be able to get everything out on the table." I kept it brief, not wanting to let on that it will be her judgement day. If the situation goes bad I'm not to certain how Chance will react to me killing her while she's pregnant, so I don't want to even give him time to think on the situation. Not like I haven't already given him fair warning.
"I'll reach out to her and extend the invite." He stood up and walked over to me. Once again he isn't wearing a shirt and it's making me feel a way.
"Are you sleeping with me tonight?"
"If it's alright with you. You're my peace, Kadence. I get the best sleep knowing you're right next to me." I briefly closed my eyes, trying to separate my sober thoughts from the tipsy ones.
