I yawned softly, flailing my arms around the massive lecture hall. Scanning my surroundings for anything out of the ordinary,   I shifted my posture. It was approximately the last subject before we were off to roam around booths. I continued to stare at the complex questions in front of the class.

"Since everyone must be ecstatic with our school activities, I'll dispatch you guys early. Don't forget to pass your essay, that's due tomorrow! Okay, class dismissed!" Mr. Jung announced.

The class erupted it soft cheers, everyone packing up quickly. I knew I loved his subject for a reason. I brushed off the dust on my jeans, slinging my bag over my shoulder.

Man, I haven't eaten anything since last night . Curse Jinyoung for bailing on 'our' project. I would've been done earlier of he didn't bail. Apparently something important came up so he had to rain-check. Pssh, that's what they all say.

I speedwalked over to the school garden just across my lecture hall. My eyes darting back and forth for an empty bench. Luckily I zeroed on one beside the cherry blossom tree. I took out a little crate full of chocolate truffles.

Speaking of chocolate, hmm, I forgot to tell you, it's Valentine's Day today. Yep, it was the time for sappy couples, full out pda and heaps of discounted chocolate. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't bitter.

How come everyone got around to finding their special someone while I'm stuck here reading cliche fanfiction and daydreaming over my bestfriend. The fact that he's the school heart-throb doesn't help either.

Hyunjin was just something else. Sure he was pretty, athletic and a crowd-pleaser but he's more than that. On the outisde sure he was playful and confident, but on the inside he was a soft, fragile person that needed love. He was there through your lowest and you were there for him as well. To say that you fell for him was an understatement. You grew to love him so much and if you were to part with him, things would never be the same.

People always say that best friends are perfect for each other, usually ending in a fairytale ending. As sad as it is, your friendship with Hyunjin was only platonic. Afterall, he treated you like family.

It's still funny though, everytime you both hang out, it ends up with you laying on his lap and him playing with your hair. I'm still glad he's dense as stone, so he doesn't get to hear my heart going haywire.

Popping another truffle in my mouth, I heard frantic yelling from a distance. I looked behind me, and Hyunjin was running at full speed, sweat beading down his forehead. Your mouth formed into an 'o' shape. Ladies must be lined up to marry him, huh.

He halted in front of me for a mere second before pulling my arm and breaking into another sprint. Surprised at his actions, I played along, the blood rushing to my face immediately. I barely even caught up to him with my lacking stamina. We took a quick turn over to the Music Room.

Once inside, he swiped the sweat forming on his face before locking the door. I was panting, crouching to catch up on lost breathe.

"Hyunjin!!! What the hell are you doing??" I asked him in between breathes.

He looked at me sheepishly, "Okay so uhm, long story short, the guys are making money off of me on the Marriage Booth and I needed a quick breather."

"Okay? So why bring me with you?" I questioned him.

Hyunjin shot a quick eye smile and said, "Just 'cuz."

I looked at him weirdly. Something's up with him, he usually does stay at that booth every year without any complaints. He evens treats me out for milktea afterwards.

"Hmm, I know for a fact you do those things without any comments, especially since it's Seungmin's last year as SC president."

He was taken a back and ran his fingers through his hair. He contemplated whether to answer or just stay silent. "Okay fine, it's because I-"

"HYUNJIN~~~" someone singsonged through the halls, "I know you're in there~~" Jisung taunted.

I looked over to the door, and sure enough Jisung was there, he even had an evil grin on his face.

"Shit, I'm dead for, oh god, hshshshshsh *giberrish*" Hyunjin panicked beside me.

"C'mere bro, let's just get this over with." Jisung smiled creepily and tied a blindfold over Hyunjin's eyes. Weird enough, someone was tying something over my eyes too.

Frantically, I started to poke my intruder. "Ouch, y/n, stop!!" Chan grunted.

"Oh, hehe, sorry Chan."

Finally after a good minute of walking, my bilndfold was taken off and I was standing on a makeshift altar, Hyunjin across me.

Seungmin looked at us over at the podium with a smug smirk on his face. So what's happening? I don't know either.

Oh wait, I'm getting married to Hyunjin. Hahahaha, wHAT??! I glanced at Hyunjin and his cheeks were reddening. This has got to be a dream. Have I been exposed, O lord pls help me.

"Does anyone want to protest over the marriage of y/n and Hyunjin?" Seungmin asked through the mic.

"Just get it over with!!" Felix hollered at the back, he was probably the mastermind behind this.

"Okay, I guess not. Let's start with the vows." Seungmin announced, looking at Hyunjin. "Do you, Hwang Hyunjin, take y/n to be your lawfully wedded wife through sickness and in health, 'til death do you apart?"

"Yes."

I was beyond bewildered at his answer. Hyunjin, agreeing to marry me? What in the world is happening, it's the end isn't it.

"And do you, y/n, take Hyunjin as your husband through sickness and in health, 'til death do you part?"

"I do?"

"You may now put on the rings."

Hyunjin took my hand carefully, maintaining stern eye contact, his eyes glimmering in the sunlight. He slid the band on my finger, it was minimalistic, with a diamond centered in the middle. I hesitantly reciprocated his actions, feeling my face grow redder by the second.

"Okay, you may now kiss the bride." Seungmin announced with a smirk on his face.

My eyes widened hastily. They just say that but don't do it right? riGHT? I cleared my throat and looked at Hyunjin, and sure enough he was leaning in. Were my eyes playing tricks with me?

He slivered his warm hand over my neck, I felt like I was on Cloud 9. I reciprocated the kiss, feeling him smile into it. We broke apart and my mind was in a whirlwind of emotions. Did I really just kiss my best friend? The Hwang Hyunjin? The dumbass that I fell for?

He hugged me and said, "I love you, y/n, Sorry for not telling you sooner."

I fit in his embrace like a glove, nuzzling my head into the crane of his neck, "Love you too, Hyunjin."

Maybe some fairytales were meant to be re-lived afterall.
