There isn't much difference in the world,
Just like their isn't much difference in persons...
a two face mirror a shinning,
tried and true,
The deck dealt,
a third seen, unseen.....
The door was slammed with a bang. The two heads in the room turned to face a medium golden blonde. Her hair was held in a high neat ponytail. She wore a white, white pearled long sleeved dress. It's neck line cut across her shoulders and right above her bust was a down-facing cut out segment. It had a contriction at the high waist, stopped an inch or two above her knees and was slightly free.
"For all your years, you've never learnt how to knock?"said An older Manhattan highlighted blonde, in a knee-high black with gold linings tent dress and gold accessories. Her voice tried to scold but seemed rather preoccupied. Her hair in a bun.
"Of course,"the medium blonde whispered to herself then spoke out loud,"I knocked. I don't know why you didn't hear.Anyway, my zipper is having a bit of a problem,"she turned her back to show them," could you please help?"
"Honey, your sister is having a shoe problem. A wrong pair was shipped and it's too late to get another pair so I'll need you to wait," the older woman looked down at a pile of shoes underneath.
The medium golden blonde looked at her sister. The light golden blonde was in a cream, gold rose embroidered two piece: with a tea length skirt and a screw neck sleeveless top. All made of quality material. There was barely any space between the two pieces. Her hair was turned into an elegant French twist leaving stray pieces hanging. She had a gold bracelet on her upper right arm and small gold rose shaped clip-on earrings. She looked like she was one of those highly paid young inspirations. In other words, she shone. " let her wear her gold open toe t-straps". Next to her sister, she'd look something next to worked up road kill.
"Those shoes?," the older woman barely looked at her," bad idea, let's keep looking."
"of course," the medium blonde muttered to herself then she looked up at her sister,"Alex, could you please help me?"
Her sister gave her a dumbfounded look, almost like she was asking for something impossible. Not impossible it could be done. But what could Alex do. Her sister had literally stuck her between a rock and a hard place. Of late, she had taken up that habit. Clearly mother had said to wait, doing anything other could have its small emotional strikes and Alex was never one to start up a storm. Her sister on the other hand seemed ready to. But the fact still remained; they are young for a reason. Elders had to be listened to no matter the case. It hadn't been different before and there's nothing special about this time. At least Alex knew her sister could live with that fact. She just had to understand.
Alex kept looking at her sister until the message was passed on. She saw her sister mutter something but she was unable to hear. She had a few guesses of what it could be and honestly she didn't like it. Her sisters now frequent 'of course'. She said it so much you'd think she was going to win an award for it. She said it so often Alex couldn't help but feel, slightly unnerved. What was behind those words? Somewhere deep inside her, something whispered... whispered something she knew but that would have to wait. They were just simple words. She shouldn't even give them a thought.
Their mother barely gave any attention to whatever had been asked. She had all her attention fixed on Alex's current problem like it was the hardest maths problem that ever existed. She was a loving and deep caring mother. At least that was what Alex thought. She was always there when needed, always ready to help. She could be a bit hard when you did something wrong but if you came up to her in truth, she'd forgive. Alex watched her sister turn to leave before turning back to the pile of shoes.
