9: Assist You

On the other side of the door, Ms. Kim can hear faint sobs inside the room, before she opens the door, someone pats on her shoulder that made her slight flinched.

"I'm sorry to scare you Ms. Kim, good to see you."

Ms. Kim looks behind, seeing a girl with a warm smile, "Ah...Lisa, how are you?"

"I'm good! And you?" Lisa answered.

"Good...oh no...what happened to you sweetheart? Anyone bullied you? Don't worry! I'll inform your father once he's done his paper works and surgery-"

"N-No no! It's fine! It's just...it's nothing special..." Lisa mumbled.

Ms. Kim let out a sigh, "Alright, I won't force you to say it. But what brings you here? I thought you have classes tomorrow morning...?"

"Oh, I'm just paying for a visit of someone." Lisa said.

"Oh okay, sure, make sure you'll leave around 9pm, you should the rules here by now right?"

"Yup, I wish I can follow your steps once I graduated from college."

"Of course you will." Ms. Kim spoke before she left, giving Lisa some privacy.

Lisa took a deep breath, and let out before she decides to knock on the door. There's no turning back...

She can hear the sobs stop and a fainted 'come in' before she opens the door.

"T-Taehyung? Can I talk to you for a sec?" Lisa asked with concern and unsurety.

"What are you doing here." Taehyung sits up, with redness and puffiness combined made Lisa feel bad immediately.

"You and Jungkook...were in love with each other right...?"

Taehyung was confused, he's not sure whether he can trust her...or not...

What if she's trying to trick me...

"What if I say yes? What will you do? Why are you asking me this at the first place?" Taehyung asked, "But it's fine, he's yours right from the start, I don't need you here to lecture me for stealing your boyfriend."

"Taehyung," Lisa sighed, "Let me tell you one thing, the reason why I'm here because Jungkook broke up with me...earlier..."

Taehyung's eyes widened, "Oh...umm...I'm sorry-"

"Don't be! I've realized Jungkook was being very distanced to me these few weeks, he's still friendly, still one and only enthusiastic and sweet person. However, I can tell ever since he met you, he's been around you all the time, last time at the beach, I can tell how worried he was for you, even this evening, I heard that both of you confessed to each other. Oh! I'm sorry for eavesdropping I didn't mean to." Lisa nervously chuckles.

At this point, Taehyung literally has no words to express, he was far from shock, he didn't realize how Jungkook loves him even though he had Lisa...

"Don't let this chance slip Taehyung, grab it, and cherish it, you both can be the most wonderful couple I've seen. I can sense it from the future." Lisa clasped her hands with excitement.

Taehyung laughs, "Thanks...I guess, but like I said, I'm sorry for hearing you broke up-"

"Aish it's fine. Anyway, before I came here, to talk...I had a small conversation with my father," Lisa continued, "my father is a doctor, he works here, and I was asking the condition about you."

"Maybe I'm out of curiosity since I'm taking nursing programs at my college, but here's one good news that I'm willingly and gladly to do it for you." Taehyung nods, motioning the other to continue.

"I will pay for all the charges for your surgeries and hospital fees-"

"No Lisa! Don't do this for me-"

"I insisted! And I've already paid. So no backing out now." Lisa pouted.

"Oh my God, Lisa, I-I...words can't express how much I appreciate it, we...we don't even know each other that well and you helped me..." Taehyung clasped his hand over his mouth, with tears rolling down.

"You're very welcome, this is why I enjoy helping people. Besides, I kinda thinking that once you're done with your surgery, imagine you'll get to see Jungkook!" Lisa smiles.

"Yea, I can't wait for that day to come." Taehyung wipes his tears, smiling.

"Well, I guess we've became friends right?" Lisa asked.

Taehyung hesitated, well I guess she wasn't that bad after all... "Yea, nice to meet you Lisa."

Lisa giggled, "Nice to meet you too!"
