"'I'M ONLY HUMAN! And I crash and I break down!" April sang, her heartbreaking voice resonating throughout the whole room.
So much emotion was in her voice as she sang, her fingers flying over piano keys on their own accord. She had played the same song multiple times before, engraving its lyrics on her heart. April's life flashed before her eyes, giving her the perfect pitch and emotion in the song. She needed no practice; she was merely being herself.
Angel watched from behind the mounted camera, frozen. She understood her sister-they felt the same thing. They shared the same dismal past. A tear rolled down Angel's cheek as she swiped a hand over it.
The beauty of her sister's performance was equal to the beauty of her sister. Truly, beauty was found in the heart. Angel strongly believed, after watching Mulan, that the flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest of all. She admired April-who had gone through so much and still never ceased to etch a smile on her face.
Angel's thought were interrupted as April pressed down the last plastic piano key softly. They smiled weakly at each other, understanding completely. The bond between two siblings was strong. They knew each other too well.
Angel clicked the camera's stop button and grinned. "That was super amazing."
April smiled again and tried to shake off the flashing snippets of memories in her head. She left the room, letting her sister lag behind her.

Angel worked magic with the computer, linking a chord from it to the camera as she clicked here and there, burning the video to a CD. She also sent the video to the summer program as an entry. She typed a letter-which she strongly believed was well-written-to the program and hesitantly entered the video.
April looked at Angel and bit her lip. "Do you think I'll get in?"
"I hope so. If that wasn't beautiful, then I don't know what that is," Angel replied, grinning.

"APRIL!!!" a voice screeched in April's head.
She groaned, turning over to the other side. "WAKE UP!!!"
Light burned her eyelids as she forced them open. "What?"
"TSMP REPLIED!!! YOU HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT!"
April shot out of her bed and walked to the computer. She clicked the unread message on her email. She read aloud, "Congratulations, April, your performance was very much appreciated by our judges. Because of this, you have been accepted as employee as it is the only slot available. Open the attached PDF file for more details. Thank you."
Her sister, eyes wide and jaw slacked, shoved April from behind. April beamed uncontrollably and hugged her sister. "Thanks so much!"
"Anytime."
April quickly grasped the mouse and clicked the file, reading it after. Her excitement was overwhelming as she muttered, "This is so the best day of my life."
"You sure?" her sister asked from behind, startling her. "We kind of ran out of poptarts."
April chuckled and replied, "Right."
