The Demon in Her

Matt's POV

We're blinded by a bright violet red light, making me let go of Skullara's shirt. I was filled with anger but at the same time, the biggest guilt weighed on my shoulders. Why the hell would I ever say those things to her? I wanted to scream but I couldn't. When I finally looked up, Skullara had turned into a woman! 

I wanted to run to her, to apologize for saying all of those mean things I said to her. But her eyes were full of hatred and agony, I could feel a dark and tainted aura all around her. Something wasn't right and remember, the other soul inside her.  I race to her without a second thought but she pushes me aside like I'm just a fly buzzing around her. I get back up but something in me changes, I don't feel weak, but instead, I feel a sharpness in my forearms. 

I was going to get her out of there. No matter what it took.

Skullara's POV

I open my eyes only to realize my body is moving on its own. I try to get up, to take back control of my body to go to Matt and.... and...... I haven't a clue what I should do. What could I do? Beg him for forgiveness when I knew I should've told them sooner? About Emily, the wolf, the other soul-- everything. As I try to move my hands to try to call out for someone I realize that the woman is up and I'm the one in chains. I see people standing over me as tall as mountains. 

I feel their eyes glaring at me, "What little boy wants to be a princess?" One woman says, "You're just a waste of space. Kill your self and we'll have less to worry about." Said a man. Everyone continues to tell me to die and that I'm useless, worthless, more and more things that just bring me down even lower than I already am. Hot tears fill my eyes and roll down my pink cheeks. I shake away my tears, "My friends are out there, worrying about me. I won't let thes negative words get to me." 

I fill up with determination and courage seeing my friends through my blinded eyes. I break through the chains and stand on my feet. The woman turns around and I race to her, I won't let my friends get hurt. My pulse quickens, she isn't in front of me anymore. Instead, she is flying right above me. 

I use my hand to stop myself from going any further and she kicks my back, making me land on my face first. She smirks, "You're a weakling. I wonder what made her choose you, I guess you're both stupid." I look up at her, something about her is strange. In her ice-cold voice, you hear no guilt, but in her eyes, I see pain and regret. "What have you done with the real woman that was here!?" This person was not the woman who was here before. 

The person above me gives me a sly look, "Well look at that. Maybe you aren't that dumb." She walks around me, "What do you want from me... I can't control anything I do so good luck finding something useful in here." She looks at me, surprised. Almost angry that I didn't know the value in me, "Wow. You are a stupid, pathetic nobody." She kicks my back, laying down on the floor. 

I didn't know what they were after but I couldn't let them take control. They walked away and I got up. I wasn't going to let them hurt the ones I love. With a running start, I jumped on their back, making them fall to the ground without warning. If they wanted to take control of my body,

they'll have to kill me first.

Matt's POV

Fighting for what seems like hours, Amanda puts me in the safe place they were all staying in. "Matt, you have to stop. If you continue like this who knows what she'll do to you." Dallora said. I shake my head, "It was my fault the other soul in her became enraged. I have to fix this, I'm the only one who can. I know it sounds dramatic, but I can't continue if I know that I was never able to help her. To save her." All the memories of her helping me bring me close to tears.
