The meeting

Skullara's POV

Haggard gasps, "Y-you mean..." I shrug. I didn't understand who she meant but if she is referring to Lady Hybrid, then that would be very unlikely. I mean- why would she choose to be trapped in a boy's body with me? I would trade with her if I could but, anyway I continued to question myself who this was inside of me. That's when I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I yell facing the door. When I turned back to Grandma Haggard, she was gone. When the door creaked open, it was Amanda that walked through, "Hey Pup, can I talk to you about something?" She said her face as bright red as a tomato, "Of course. What's up?" She sits next to me, "So... I like this guy but I don't know if he likes me."

My ears perk up in excitement, "Really!? What's he like, who is it?! Is he cute?" This made my heart bounce in my chest. She turned her head and her face turned even brighter than when she came in, "It's...Drew...." I froze. Drew? I can see what she likes about him but still, it boggles my mind. I was so lost in thought that I didn't even notice I staring at her with sparkles in my eyes.

"Um...Pup?" She said staring at me. With a blink of an eye, I jump on her squeezing her tightly in my arms, "This is great news! I'm so happy- wait... are you going to tell him?" I say, letting her go. I noticed she's embarrassed because she flinches and her face turns into the brightest pink, "N-no way I-I couldn't tell him even if I w-wanted to!"

My head and ears fell to the side, "Well... do you want to?" She nods slightly. I think, "what should I do? She likes him so..." My ears perk up once more, "Maybe I could help you confess! We could wear spy headsets so I can tell you what to say to him!" She seemed to like that idea.

Her cute cat ears perk up just like mine, "That's a great idea, Pup!" She hugs me tightly, "Now that I got that out of my chest, I'm gonna go eat." I then remembered my secret, "no more secrets... they're my friends, they'll understand. Right?" Before she left I yelled, "Kitten, wait!" She turns to me, "Before the sleepover tonight, I need to talk to everyone. Here." I say with a scared expression.

She nods, "Okay, I'll tell them. See you later, pup." I smile,"You too, kitten." She closes the door and then I'm left alone. I felt a knot in my stomach, was I really ready to tell them after I just found out? There was only one way to find out. After a while it was finally time for the class sleepover, I paced all around the room and then... the door opened.

They all seemed to be having a great time... I hate that I'll be the one to ruin that. We sat down around the room, I and the girls got into our pj's and then we sat down and I told them everything I knew about what was in me. Silence filled the room until only the wind was speaking. I put my head down in shame, "I'm sorry to tell you this only now. I should have told you sooner but... I was scared you wouldn't except me." Amanda and the others gathered around me and gave me a hug.

But Matt stayed still. I looked up at him, knowing him for a long time doesn't mean I've seen every side of him, especially this side. "You were scared!?" He snaps. I look at him with sorrow in my eyes, "Yeah... I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you. I just..-" "You just what!?" He screams. I stutter. What did I mean by that? Before saying anything else he picks me up by my shirt. "Matt, please! I know she never meant to hurt us. Give her a chance to explain herself!"

Amanda says tears fill her eyes and her cheeks turn slightly more pink than usual. He turns to her, "Oh come on, Amanda! We all know he's a BOY! He never was a girl, he only acts like one! I may be his friend, BUT I WILL NEVER ACCEPT HIM!" I froze. I couldn't believe it, those words were just like the ones many boys said to me back home. "Weak. All of you are weak." Echoes a mysterious voice. I'm picked up in the air, with a bright light coming out of me.

"Free. I'm FINALLY free!"
