I opened my eyes groggily, finding myself in some sort of cave. An icy cave. To say that it was cold was an understatement. It was freezing! To top it, I was still dressed in the sleeveless dress, which provided no heat at all. I pulled my legs up to my chest, trying to produce a little body heat for what it's worth. What was this place?

"Rise and shine."

The voice bounced off the walls in an eerie echo and I followed it back to the owner. Uma. My wings stiffened in fear and I pressed my back against the wall of ice behind me, feeling it go numb from the cold. Uma only seemed to appreciate the fact that I'm scared of her. Honestly, I really was scared of her. She's outside the Isle of the Lost, meaning she had full access to all her powers and magic. My little bit of pixie dust magic was nothing compared to the lime green smoke that drifted out of her shell necklace from time to time.

"I regret not attending the ball myself last night." She spoke and approached me slowly, "It looked fun. Seeing you all dressed up, singing with my former first mate on the pier, him staring at you with so much...emotion. Fun. But, as you can see, I'm hosting the after party and you're the first guest. You should feel honored."

I forced myself to gather some courage. My mother saved the entire spring once, she flew in a pixie dust powered balloon in search for a magic mirror to save the moonstone, she battled killer rats in an old ship wreck, she revealed herself to two human beings and fixed a father-daughter relationship, she saved the Neverbeast and helped a pirate fairy battle no one else but the infamous captain James Hook, she helped saving Peter Pan from the same bloody pirate... My mom's a hero and I'm her daughter. I should start acting like it!

"You know, you could've sent a more friendly invitation." I back chatted Uma, "Maybe then I would've felt more welcome. Oh, and a generous tip when inviting someone to a party, please don't forget to mention it's in a cave made of ice and that they should dress warmly!"

Uma's eyebrows shot up as her mouth gaped open in amusement, "I had no idea fairies were so adorably feisty. Hook forgot to mention that."

"Excuse me?"

"Yeah, I spoke with your dear crush Harry's ol' man." She grinned, "I know all you fairies' secrets and weaknesses. Unfortunately I don't have a human sized lantern. I bet you make a fine nightlight."

I felt my wings stinging at my back. The cold was damaging them. There were only a few things that could cause a fairy to lose their ability to fly; giving up their wings as an act of bravery or heroism, when they get wet and when the freeze and crack in the cold. Unfortunately I didn't have a twin sister with an identical pair of wings like mine like mom does. My wings were at stake here and I'd lie if I say I wasn't worried like hell.

"Cold bothering you?" Uma smirked, "Good."

She knew about the cold affecting my wings. This was way worse than bad.

"Where did you take me?" I changed the subject.

Uma shrugged, "Oh, you should know, Terry. You're the teacher's pet, I presume. You know all there is to know about Auradon and its villains' history. But I'll tell you just because you asked so nicely. Since I know that water causes you fairies to get pulled under water and drown and that the time isn't right to drown you yet, there was only one other place I could take you where my plan would succeed... My aunt Morgana's lair."

That explained it. My wings stung again and I leaned my head on the ice wall, hoping to the second star to the left someone would come and save me. But my chances were small. The only person who saw my fairynapping was Harry and I doubt anyone would believe him. They'll think he's pulling another prank. Maybe Wanda and the other two girls would notice I didn't show up for breakfast, or Evie would look for me because I didn't show her my dress last night. Maybe Jay would wonder why I didn't show up for sword fighting practice, which I never miss. Whoever it may be, I just hope they find me before I freeze to death here myself. But knowing a villain like Uma, she wouldn't have made it too hard for someone to find me. If she was doing this for a reason to get back at someone, like Mal or Harry, she wanted me to be found and would've left a clue for someone to find. I just had to hang tight and hope that my wings could handle the cold.
