jungkook is on his way home with a bag full of sweets and ice creams on his hand. he's quietly hummimg and sometimes does a little dance to the song that played from his earphones.
'you are the cause of my euphoria~'
just when he walks pass the park, he catch a glimpse of a girl sitting all by herself on one of the bench. what is she doing there alone? getting curious, jungkook decided to approach her. he widens his eyes when he heard the girl's crying. feeling sympathetic with the girl, he thinks way to comfort her. until his gaze turns to the plastic bag on his hand.
"here." jungkook said as he hands her a chocolate ice cream.
the girl jumps a bit when she heard jungkook's voice. she lifts her head and turns around to look at him then at the ice cream. she's pretty but would be prettier without those tears.
"don't worry, it's free. take it." he playfully said and when she finally takes the ice cream, he sits beside her who starts opening the ice cream. "you don't mind some company, do you?"
the girl shakes her head before has her first bite. she's enjoying the ice cream, while jungkook is busy staring at her face which stained with her tears earlier. he still wonders what it is that make a beautiful girl like her crying all alone in the park at night like this.
"thanks for the ice cream." she said as she looks at him and showing him her smile. omg.
"it's nothing." jungkook smiled at her. "can i ask why're you crying?"
she sighs as she turns her gaze to her fronth.
"today is my birthday—"
jungkook's face lit up and cut her off. "—ah, happy birthday!"
the girl smiled sadly at him while muttering thanks.
"but i have no one to celebrate it with me because the people i care about the most were already gone last three years, in the exact same day." her voice cracks when she mentioned the word 'gone'. "that's why i always feeling sad and missing them more on every my birthday"
"what happened with them?" jungkook cautiously asked. "well, if you don't mind me asking."
"it was when they were about to pick me up from my dormitory for celebrating my birthday. i was waiting for them for almost four hours, until someone from the hospital called me and informed me about their c-car incident." tears are already flowing again on her cheeks. "that incident took the entire of my family."
doesn't know what to do, jungkook's hand is on her back and rubbing it softly trying to comfort the sad girl. silence is engulfing both of them until jungkook has an idea.
"well, i may have a present for your birthday."
the girl quickly wipes her eyes and looks at him questioningly.
"close your eyes." jungkook said and when she seems not believing him, he whines. "come on, i won't do anything bad. i promise."
"okay." the girl closes her eyes.
jungkook smiles happily when he saw this and quickly opens his 'presents' for her.
"you can open your eyes now."
when the girl opens her eyes, she was greeted with jungkook's wide smile and the now opened plastic bag which consists of sweets and ice creams. her face lit up with a smile when she saw all of this.
"i maybe can't comfort you that much, but i believe the power of these sweets can." jungkook said. "let's eat these."
with that, they spends the night by eating all of those sweets and ice creams. they don't talk much and just enjoy the sweet feeling on their mouth and a comfortable silence around them. when they finished, they go their separate ways and go back home. jungkook actually insists to walk her home, but she politely rejects his offer by saying that her house is not that far from the park.
"ah!" jungkook stops midways and facepalms himself when he remembers something. "i forgot to ask her name! stupid jeon!"
when he enters his home, he was greeted by his older brother who's running to him with all excitement but soon the excitement gone.
"yah, where's the sweets and ice cream?!"
he smiles at his brother sheepishly as he remembers that those sweets already inside his tummy and hers. "i'm sorry, hyung but something happened back there. i promise i'll buy you some tomorrow."
the older rolls his eyes before leaving him. jungkook then goes to his bedroom and lay on his bed.
"i already miss that girl." he said while looking at the ceiling. "she's so pretty."

it's already one week after jungkook and that girl's last encounter.
jungkook now is getting ready to have his morning jog around the complex. after tying his shoes, he yells at his brother informing him that he's going. he wears his earphone and plugs it to his phone. lauv's i met you when i was 18 album is playing on shuffle.
thirty minutes later, he decides to stop and have a little rest at the park. he sits on one of the bench then close his eyes, enjoying the fresh and warm morning breeze on his skin. his eyes suddenly sprung wide open when someone unattached his right earphone.
a familiar girl with a smile on her pretty face, greeted him as soon as he opens his eyes.
"hi." her timid voice made him smile.
"hello there." he said.
she then moves and sits beside him. "you don't mind, right?"
"nah. it's empty, you can sit there."
they then fall into silence.
"it seems that we always meet here."
"it just two times tho."
jungkook shrugs while still smiling. he then remembers something.
"you haven't told me your name last week."
"the same as you." she said.
jungkook lets out a chuckle at the girl beside him.
"jeon jungkook." he reached out his hand which gladly accepted by her.
"park chaeyoung." she said. "nice to meet you, jungkook-ssi."
chaeyoung then looks at her watch and realizes something. she stands up and it makes jungkook looks at her questioningly.
"i should go now." she said then suddenly leans forwards and give a peck on his cheek. "that's for those sweets and ice creams last week. bye, jungkook!"
she immediately runs and waves her hand shyly, leaving jungkook who's still speechless because of chaeyoung's sudden kiss on his cheek. he then stands up and chase after chaeyoung. he grabs her wrist and made her stops and turns around.
"w-wait, can i take you out after this? m-maybe grab some food or just hanging around in the park?"
chaeyoung smiled. "let's say, if we meet each other again someday somewhere, i'll gladly go out with you."
before jungkook can say anything, chaeyoung left him.
"is it too fast to say that i already like that girl?"
