HIM [Finished]

POST BREAK- UP & NEW GUY

It was the next day. I'm still thinking about all the events that happened yesterday. My first relationship and someone already cheated on me great. Was it my fault? Should I take him back? Was there anything I could have done different?

 Before I could think of the past events my phone buzzed, it was T.

 *best friend* " Hey J, um you didn't text back yesterday is everything ok?" 

She was worried about me. I had to text back but what would she think? I hope she doesn't judge me. That's the last thing I need right now. 

*jay* " I did it..." I text.

 Three words, there is was out. She now knows that me and that bastard are no more. My heart was racing.

 *best friend* "Did what? Details please." 

*jay* "I broke up with Eli." 

*best friend* " I'm so sorry. I just thought you should know..." 

*jay* "no thank you.  You gave me courage to do something I wouldn't have done if I wouldn't have known. Your a good friend." 

*best friend* "do you want me to come over?" 

*jay* " i think i want to be alone. Everything is still so fresh."

 *best friend* " are we still on for this weekend?"

 *jay* "yeah just come over after work. My parents are out of town so you can spend the night. We can watch Netflix."

 *best friend*" I'll bring junk food. After a bad relationship junk food is always a good idea." 

*jay* " Hey T, I'm going to handle some things on my own. I don't want to think about him anymore."

*best friend* it's going to be okay. I love you. You know I am always here if you need me. Make sure you get rest."

*jay* "love you too." I close my phone and throw it on the bed.

 I look at myself in the mirror and see what I have on I look a mess. My stomach makes weird noises. Man I have to get something to eat. So, I head to the grocery store. Maybe T is right junk food may be the best thing after a bad break up.
I arrive at the grocery store and go straight to the candy selection.  Gummy worms are the best thing invented. So a grab about five bags. Don't judge. As I try to handle the five bags of gummy worms I bump into someone. The gummy worms fall to the floor. I immediately get upset.

"Hey watch where your going-" I say as I start to pick up the gummy worms from the ground as the stranger helps.

 Our eyes meet it's as if the whole world stops. I take a moment to look at this stranger and he is like a body of art. He looks taller than me, dark skin, curly hair. I swear he looks so much better than my ex. I wanted to drop the gummy worms and kiss him right there. I must have been staring for a while.

"Are you ok?" Says the stranger. 

"Um. Yeah . Yeah but you bumped into me." 

" I'm sorry. I was in a rush, sorry man." The stranger said. 

The way he talked I knew he was straight but I wasn't sure.

 It wasn't until a girl tapped his shoulder and said "Is everything ok babe?" the pretty girl said.

 "Uh, yeah I just bumped into someone."

 "Well we have to get going or we are going to be late." She walked away but the stranger stayed.

 He helped me up but looked at me as if he knew me all his life. Almost as if he was admiring me. What was he looking for? I didn't know him and he didn't know me. All I know is that every piece of my body felt alive. I never felt anything like this before. Before I could think of anything else the moment was over.

"What's your name?" the stranger said. 

My name? Shit what is my name? 

"Jaylin." I said

 "Jaylin." the stranger said.

 And that was all, he had walked away. My breath was taken away. I must have been mesmerized because I wanted to ask one more question. But it was too late.

"What is your nam-..." He was gone. As I wasn't sure he was real. What if he was all in my head? This is all happening too fast.
