BETTT POV

I laid back onto the bed for the surgery to start. The doctors prepared me and my family came into the room before it started. I sat up and gave a weak smile.

"I'm gonna be right outside the room, ok? Your mom and Polly will be around the hospital. We'll be with you." Dad said.

"I know. I love you, Dad."

"I love you too, Betty." Dad smiled and kissed my forehead. Chic gave me a rolled up piece of paper. I opened it and it looked just like the flower lungs from "Five Feet Apart" which I loved.

"I know they had Cystic Fibrosis...but your lungs suck too." Chic smiled. I giggled and kicked him in the shin. We laughed and my family left the room. I laid back down and Doctor Johnson came up to me.

"Arms." She said. I put out one arm and she put an IV in there and did with the other. This way, my body was getting fluid during the surgery. She started to mark with a marker where the G-Tube was going to be and medicated the area.

"My nervous, Doctor Johnson."

"Don't be. This is completely normal." Doctor Johnson smiled. I hugged Hot Dog tightly and they put the oxygen mask on top of me.

"Alright, just take a few deep breaths in an out." Doctor Johnson said. I started to take deep breaths in and out. My vision slowly started to fade along with my hearing.

I woke up in my room. I was light-headed and the area of the G-Tube was so painful. I sat up and I checked out the area. The skin around it was red and then I saw a envelope on my desk. I grabbed it and opened it up.

"HOW DID THE SURGERY GO? FACETIME ME. HERE IS MY NUMBER"-Jughead Jones;)

I smiled weakly and put the number in my phone and him a contact. I then started to FaceTime him. He answered and he was sitting at his desk. He had is beanie off with his black-hair really messy and he was wearing a S-shirt with his oxygen tube. He was getting medicine into his PICC line.

"You think you're really cute, don't you? Being so flirtatious lately?" I smiled.

"Me? Flirting? Never. I just have Doctor Little here giving me my medicine. How'd the surgery go?"

"My still in pain and the fact that I'm not going to be able to eat and get what I need in my body is scary."

"I don't even know why we need feeding tubes. It's so stu-" Jughead began. That's where he was wrong.

"Actually, you're wrong. Lung Cancer is mainly affective towards the lungs, but it can affect other areas. The cancer can spread based on how much activity you use towards other areas. Since I have G-Tube, it can make us not have to be so harsh with our lungs while eating. Also, it helps with less activity of our stomachs."

"You know your research, Betty. Let me guess... you made a PowerPoint over it?" Jughead asked sarcastically. I got on my laptop and showed him my 30-slide PowerPoint over NSCLC Lung Cancer.

"I also made 4 other PowerPoints too. I made them over Cystic Fibrosis, Tuberculosis, Brain Cancer, and Pulmonary Fibrosis. Wanna see them?" I giggled. Jughead smirked and I saw Polly come in. She came over and hooked my tube up to my PICC line.

"Polls, look at Jughead!" I exclaimed. She flipped him off and walked away out of my room. I was laughing super hard and Jughead laughed as well. I started to cough and it was painful. It felt my lungs shaking ferociously and the pain was in my whole torso.

"Betty, are you ok?" Jughead asked. I gasped for air and went over to grab my breathing machine. I attached everything and started to take deep breaths. I gave him a thumbs up and he sighed in relief. When I was done, we started talking a little longer.

"I need to go. I have lots of sleep to catch up on." I smiled. He gave a little salute and I hung up. I blushed and got ready for bed. I planned on hanging out with my friends and talking about Jughead.
